Rated 2.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not a bad outfit at all.... Does what Orbit said it would do. Covers well, need to keep the lawn neat and tight 6" around the head. If you are using this on a slope of any kind, keep the entire unit as level as possible with the slope or the unit will over water well short of its capacity on one side and under water a broader area on the other side. ( Allow for this when installing your PVC sprinkler intake adapter/receptacle, save a lot of time and frustration this way!) Placement should always be higher on slopes or hills unless you live where it's windy blowing and consistently blows up slope. PapaSkiBear Hangtown, Ca. August 21, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Orbit Sprinkler Heads Several of the 4" adjustable pattern sprinkler heads I bought would not work properly. The pattern adjustment mechanism is very fickle. August 24, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Adjustable, but leaks after time I installed about 20 of these in my front yard 1.5 years ago. They were easy to install and very adjustable and I was generally happy. I bought them for the durable head. My only complaint at the time was that I wish I had gone with a 4" because the 2" have trouble clearing the grass when it grows. Recently, I've noticed that many of the sprinklers have started to leak considerably between the pop-up part and the white gasket. Upon inspection, the plastic has become slightly deformed and lost some of the elasticity. When replaced, they stopped leaking. I called Orbit to get a new set of white seals, but they would only replace the leaking ones and wanted me to pay for shipping. Instead, I purchased a set of 40 (2 years worth, hopefully), and I'll just replace yearly. It wasn't worth fighting over 30 cents apiece. I'm in the process of adding sprinklers to the backyard and won't be using these. I wanted to keep everything uniform for maintenance, but it isn't worth the hassle. I've read the reviews on the 4" model and they have a number of people with this same problem. What a shame. August 21, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by inexpensive 5400 series Only problem don't hold up to much abuse. the top screw cap 11/2.? should be made a little bit heavier. had the top seperate on 5 heads.replace with little heavier and body heavier.replaced with rainbird adjustable pop- up. good so far. June 17, 2014
