Answer:
I have had problems using this dimmer with "cheaper" LED bulbs. But the better, more expensive bulbs, work just fine. But a version of this dimmer that is designed to work with LEDs would be nice.

Yes, I'm currently using this dimmer with 100w LED bulb and it does a good job with a large dimming range.

Answer:
Good day,
The 6602-IW is only rated for 600W incandescent loads. This dimmer is not compatible with LED bulbs. We do not currently offer a rotary style dimmer that is compatible with LED bulbs.

I am replacing an existing dimmer switch. The new switch has a ground wire. I have no ground on the old switch, nor a bare wire in the box. So what do I do with the green ground wire?

Answer:
You probably have a metal box. The ground is probably attached to the box. Attach the ground wire to the box.

Answer:
The 6602 is rated for 600W incandescent fixtures only; it is not rated for fans and motors loads. You need to purchase a fan speed control to use with a ceiling fan.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed. Was not avsailable in push on/off style Had to replace and match dimmer switch in box. I like the push On/Off type rather than the rotary(turn) on/Off type. Unable to find the single way in this style, only the 3-way. The 3 way is twice the price. Why not have the single way available in push on/ off? July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by matches nicely with new backsplash color and style was what I was looking for. Did not find the right ones at Lowes. Everyone is impressed with how nice they look with new backsplash. I will certainly use the same product when I redo other rooms. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 600 watt rotary. Dimmer Have not installed this unit yet. But the knob doesn't seem to work on unit being replaced.. I just needed to replace the knob on a old unit. May have to replace the entire unit . April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replaced standard off/on switch The knob turns with little effort and all the screws were fully threaded April 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Inexpensive option to other dimmers. I purchased the rotary dimmer as a replacement to push type ON-OFF rotary model that failed in the OFF position. What I like about the new unit is the combo White/Beige knobs that are included in the package, and that the ON-OFF function is part of the rotary function. No need to push on the knob to turn the lights ON/OFF. Rotating the knob fully CCW until it clicks turns OFF the lights. The knob of the new rotary dimmer also sits closer to the faceplate improving the overall look. April 1, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hums audibly when lights not at full brightness. Hums audibly when lights are not at full brightness. When dimmer is turned to full brightness, the hum stops. Lights do not dim to zero brightness. Button must be pushed off to totally turn lights off. January 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wall rotary dimmer Installed wall mounted rotary dimmer for LED lighting. Works well with dimmable LED lighting. December 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rotary switch Serves the purpose of replacing a switch broken by movers. Very easy to install once the electric is turned off. I would have preferred a dimmer that is push on and off and dial for brightness. Did not know that they were all different. December 8, 2015
