I'm from Mexico. I already tried to buy this item with my credit card but an issue happens at the billing address because the system assumes my postal code is from USA and displays error. Is there a way to override this issue or is it impossible for me to buy this item ?

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The only plane you need I have 5 planes of different makes and models. Each of them make important tear out on white oak that I use a lot. So instead of hand plane I use orbit sander... a lot. But this N.62 with the low angle is much better and nearly entirely suppress the tear out. This is the tool that reconciliate me with hand planing. Price is right for the quality. Need some tune in to be effective: blade sharpening and front/back edge filing. March 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really a 'sweetheart'! My woodworking friend helped me take this plane apart, clean and wax it and hone the blade. He was very impressed with how well the plane was made and the quality of the blade. I had read some negative reviews from the past, but it appears that any issues have been addressed. This is a very nice plane! December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A terrific plane at a great price. Works right out of the box I have a bunch of hand planes. Wood ones, old ones - all restored. New planes from Veritas and Lee Valley. All except the Veritas and Lee Valley have been work to get operational. Not this plane. It worked right out of the box, like its more expensive Lee Valley and Veritas cousins. This is a terrific plane. If you have not tried a bevel up bench plane, this is the one to buy. April 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One plane to rule them all No need for multiple hand planes unless you're just into that scene. This plane can do aggressive removal for flattening wide boards and table tops efficiently and thanks to the adjustable throat will produce super thin ribbons for smoothing. My go to plane for everything now. Wish I would have bought this one years ago. Home Depot had the best price online for this exact plane by $30-40. It's heavy duty and looks nice on my wall when I'm not using it as well. February 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent purchase Shipping was really fast . The plane is made really well and I put it to use right away . You do have to put micro bevel on blade but you can use it right out of box also. December 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's why they call it sweetheart hand plane. Razor sharp out of the box. Flat and true. Adjustments are easy and smooth to make. I love the handles, feels great in the hands.mouth adjust's so easily and is cleaverly made. This is a REAL tool !!! Should be on the shelves, not Buck planes which are junk. If you appreciate quality tools and price this is it. August 12, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Plane with work I've done a lot of" feddling" with this plane and have it working quite well. I new from reading the reviews that I would have to do some work to get the plane working well. The quality engineer must have been on a break with the one I was sent because it took a lot more work to shape it up than I expected. After doing the typical tuning routines I checked the frog angle and it was dead on at 12 degrees. The only flaw that I would consider major was that the lever mechanism did not allow the blade to come through the mouth at any setting. What I discovered was that it was not level with the opening. On a lark I cut a couple of shims from a "Cherrios" box and bingo it worked. With the shims in it works, with them out it doesn't work. I don't want to play musical planes. I suspect that any that I received would need some kind of work done to it. It's a good plane and I'll just keep the one I've got. Every time I use it I can have a little chuckle that another product in a yellow box came to the rescue. This is not a premium plane and granted, neither is the price. There are three companies ahead of Stanley including the original vintage Stanley # 62, but they all also have a premium price. The Home Depot price or cheaper is correct for this plane. It is a good plane and with some "feddling" it can be a very good plane. Unfortunately the one I got took a lot of work to make it good. This plane will require work to make it good. I've found it to be worth the work. Yours, G. V. May 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great all-round hand plane This is a great all-round hand plane and is hard to beat for the money. There are less expensive options but the quality and usibility of this particular plane made it worth the extra expense. The 3/16 inch thick iron is a great feature. It is substantially thicker than lower-priced planes but gives much better results. It seats very solidly in the frog and the extra thickness helps it to cut very cleanly--without chatter. It was usable right out of the box with a small micro-bevel cut on the extreme tip. I did add a 1-2 degree back bevel (using the ruler trick) which improved cutting slightly, although the finish on the iron back was already quite smooth. Getting rid of mill-marks from the back of the iron is almost always required on lower quality planes and is very tedious. That task is almost completely unnecessary for this plane. The depth adjustment mechanism is well machined and allowed for very fine changes. It is extremely easy to set the depth of cut on this plane. There was very little free-play resulting in almost no backlash when I moved the blade in and out. The mouth opening is very easy to change, and I found it very easy to close it down to a very narrow slit. This largely solved a problem I was having with splinters tearing out on difficult wood with changing grain with other planes. Most planes allow some way to adjust the mouth opening but the adjustable front foot on this one takes a few seconds to change, and no tools are required. There are much less expensive options for this type of plane but it's also possible to spend much more. Easy adjustment and very clean cuts make this tool worth the expense. June 9, 2013
