Answer:
Thank you for the question. Pour the whole container directly into the toilet and flush. Its that easy. If you would rather pour down a drain, make sure you follow up by pouring in at least 10 gallons of water directly after bottle. If you have any other questions, please call the Instant Power Help Line 1-800-613-4242 for more specific help. Thank you!

Answer:
Yes, septic shock will help. You need to add it in multiple places draining to the gray tank. Good bacteria will breakdown and eat all the food. Then the bad smells will go away.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome product This product really works. My field line wasn't working at all. It was clogged up and I had a very bad smell outside and inside my house. Put two jugs of this directly down my spectic tank and it immediately unclogged the field line. Has been two months since I added this and I still have no problems. Saved me around $350.00 by not having to have septic pumped. Awesome product. August 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked We were getting odors in the back yard and bubbling at the tub drain when we flushed. I used five bottles at one per week. Problem is currently gone. I also stored one bottle on my motorhome for use in the black tank. Have not tried it yet but it should be an effective blank tank treatment. Delivery from Home Depot was excellent. May 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clogged Galley System Not Draining I'm giving this a 4 star for now since it appears to be working. I will update after a full treatment cycle suggested by the manufacture. I've tried several other brands including the dry one without favorable results. I added a three month treatment of a name brand just two weeks prior to this treatment and not much happened. This Septic Shock, after one week, is producing a lot of activity results. I added a bottle to my septic in small amounts to the bathroom sink, bath tub, kitchen sink and the remaining to the toilet. After several days there's a noticeable bubbling and floating soap is disappearing from the septic tank. The water in the galley system on the 7th day began to bubble, turned dark and treatment activity scum (gas and etc) is floating. None of these conditions existed before or with other name brand treatments I used. I did a little test of water from the galley system before treatment to monitor the results so I would know what it was doing. I had three containers of water from the galley and added a small amount to one and three times as much to another and one I left as it came from the galley. There was a noticeable change in the 3x container in that it began to change color to a darker color. The 1x did not exhibit much color change. The 3x darker color is what I'm seeing after treatment in the galley system. May 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Septic shock Has helped my drain field issues of standing water May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shocked and Amazed We were told that we needed new field lines to the tune of 4K. Instead we used one bottle of this in the toilet and another was poured in the inlets near the tank. The next morning the standing water around the tank was gone. I'm still amazed and thank God for this product. April 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AMAZING Me and my three children ages 15, 6, and 8 are in a home with a 1000 gal sepic tank which is about 40 years old. My leach lines were bad when I purchased the house in 2013 as well as an insufficient slope from the house to the tank. I was told to replace everything. Unfortunately, it is very costly. I have survived the last 2 years digging it up every 1-3 months to unclogging the toilet paper from the inlet which cased a backup into the downstairs tub and toilet. The scum line was in excess of 8 inches thick and has never gone lower than one inch below the top (nearly reaching the access cover.) When we bathe or shower a foul odor would come from the drains and the stench from the tank itself when dug up was atrocious. I purchased the case of six and am following the directions. I did my first treatment two weeks ago. Second treatment one week ago. I noticed immediatey that the smell in the house after showers was gone. Today, I uncovered the access lid and the scum line is down about six inches and there was seemingly no smell! I assume my leach lines are improving but haven't tested them however, I am very optimistic about the results I'll get after today's treatment as well as the last three bottles. February 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by open leach lines I have spent a couple of thousand dollars on chemicals for my septic tank and none worked, last go round before getting new lateral lines put In,I bought a case of septic shock, used as directed the sixth bottle opened the lines back to normal, I bought a second case to make sure I got all the clog cleaned up, wish I had found this stuff a year ago, This stuff DOES WORK, I normally don't write reviews but had to on this product, THANKS August 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by So far , so good Its been a little over a month since I used this product but I can say it has resolved by back-up issue considerably. I'm a little hesitant in giving it 5 star's only because I want to see how the system reacts during the Spring thaw which creates high levels of moisture in my "field" here in Michigan. I do believe the "key" for the success so far was getting the "product" directly into the laterial pipes that extends into the field. In my case, I cound not determine exactly where the "distribution" box was located above ground. I was having the tank pumped anyway so located the pipe that runs to the distribution box which is located inside the tank itself. There is a hole on the top of that elbow that I was able to incert a garden hose through and with a Craftmans Dry-Vac and (attached) Craftmans PUMP filled the Dry-Vac with the Septic Shock (3 Gallons/6bottles) and pumped it in. I can teil you my "field" was BAD because I was getting "backwash" of the product with only half of the product pumped in. I didn't cover the tank with dirt and waited another week. Opened the tank and again using the "pump system" filled the pipe with an additional 3 gallons. I know this was extreme but I sensed my field was really bad. Bottom line, for the $120.00 I've spent so far, I'm diffently please with the results. In 60 days or so (Spring thaw), I'll determine if a full 5 Star rating is warranted. These events are accurate and honest. February 3, 2015
