My lights sometime dim for a second or two, and I would caution against running sensitive electronics. If your 110V loads are significant, you may need to make sure the draw on each of the two phases is roughly balanced or you may exceed the generator's capacity on one of the phases. I hooked up my generator to a manual transfer switch, besides being safer than stringing extension cords everywhere, has the added advantage of allowing me to see the load on each phase. Read Less

The 7000 propane generator is a 6000 running and 7000 surge watt generator. The 120 outlets are 20 amps and the 220 outlet is a 30 amp. Make sure to not go over the allotted running wattage and amperage for the generator. Thank you.

Full synthetic oils will give better lubrication in air cooled engines. Air cooled engines run hot, and synthetic oils have better high temp stability.

My manual page #19 / #20, OIL type High Detergent Motor Oil SAE 10W-30. No mention of of a Non-Detergent OIL. It might be a question to the dealer for other types or oil type replacement. I dont know if other oils will be recommended.

MAX loads (per the manual) on the 240V plug is 30 Amps. There are 2 pairs of 120V plugs; each has a max of 20 amps. The manual provides a table with expected wattage draws for various devices (which varies depending on whether they are 120V or 240V), and cautions that the generator can handle 'surge' loads (about 6,000 watts) only briefly without damage.

This generator is not an item that produces clean power. For sensitive electronics we suggest using an inverter generator. If you have any other questions please contact customer service at 800-568-6657. Thank you.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best generator purchase Love this generator,, clean LPG, no smell during storage, easy to operate/start. Little heavier than expected, but when the power went out, for over 5 hours, it ran most of the house power needs. Just one note. wished the power cord was 5 feet longer July 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disapointed I was disappointed with this purchase for a number of reasons: - the motor requires oil that was not included with the unit; had to go out and buy it separately - it requires grounding wire and a grounding rod, also not included - it requires a battery for push button starting, also not included - is not recommended to be operated indoors because of Carbon Monoxide exhaust; this should have been displayed prominently in the ad. I would have opted for something else, had I known - then I decided to locate it outside the house but noticed a warning on the unit itself that it should not be operated in the rain. This leaves a very narrow usage for this item. September 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Consistent power source A very good generator, it provided power continually for 4 and 1/2 days after the hurricane. I wish it was a little quieter. 4 stars October 25, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ah, no Engine ran, incorrectly, for three or four minutes. Missing o-ring in LP supply line. Called company, they sent new o-ring, no joy. Purged new propane bottle of air and refilled. Did not help. Called company re numerous splits found in fuel line. Will send new hose. I bought new hose at auto parts store, no joy. Local Home Depot is not set up to work on propane generators. Returned unit to Home Depot for refund. Could not recommend this product. October 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Generator I have used this on two occasions when we lost power for a about 100+ hours. It works great and has not failed. The propane option is very efficient and I do not have to worry about the gas going stale in the carb. The carry handle did break off but I manage to haul around without it. Good generator for the price. October 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Propane Generator was a Good Buy We wanted a back-up generator that would be low maintenance and easy to use. This propane generator fits the bill. First of all it was easy to assemble less than an hour, it came with easy instructions, it runs on propane which is easy to store and purchase and it has an electric start which worked every time. The only issue we had was filling the oil crankcase. The instructions state a certain fluid amount was needed and it was much less than what was stated and overflowed onto the garage floor. We called the manufacturer and they got back to us in a couple of days with an answer. Other than that issue it was a great buy, we hope we never need to use it. Was heavy to load and unload and is a two person lift from the truck September 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Generator purchase Luckily we have not had to use the generator yet. However, a relative who has this generator speaks highly of it and encouraged us to buy it. September 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Propane Generator Eliminates storing Gasoline I was looking for a propane generator that the price was right for this one. Was able to set it up quickly after purchasing the battery that is not supplied. Started up without any problems using the electric start. Like the idea that it has a recoil pull cord as a backup.
