Will this blade handle hitting the occasional nail?

I know this is not listed as a demo blade, but it has a higher rating (and is cheaper) than the Diablo framing and demo blade. I've used similar blades before that did just fine when hitting nails if I don't make it too much of a practice.

Answer:
Hi, Questioner - Even though D0724R #793-616 Diablo 7-1/4” 24T Framing blade is not listed as a demolition blade, it will cut through nails. If you are doing true demolition work, the D0724DR #467-999 Diablo 7-1/4” 24T Demolition/Framing blade is the perfect blade.

How is this blade cutting through 1-1/2" butcher block? Should I go with a 60 tooth instead?

Answer:
Hi, Mike - You will get the best performance and finish from the D0740R. Given the thickness of the material being cut, the 60 tooth blade will cause minor burning or burnishing on the finished edge. The D0740R will have the correct amount of teeth working in the material to generate the best finish.

Answer:
Hey Mike!
1 1/2" should be no problem for either of these blades. I was just in the 3402 store this weekend and the 40 tooth was on an end cap for a good price! The extra 5 bucks would get you the 60. It is just a question if you want the finer cut or not.

Answer:
The 40 tooth will cut the Maple 1 1/2" Butcher Block just fine. A 60 tooth would be likely to heat up, and you could have some burnt edges to clean up. Go at a steady feed, but try to allow the blade to clean as you feed it (I always have my depth set up so I can see the bottom of the gullet at the bottom of the cut) HAPPY SAW DUST !!

Answer:
Hi, Greg - We do not recommend using the D0740R for cutting light aluminum. The D0740R is not designed to cut non-ferrous materials. The D0756N is designed to cut non-ferrous material including aluminum, brass, and copper.

Answer:
Hi, Froggle - Diablo saw blades can be re-sharpened up to 3-5 times on an average by a certified re-sharpener. However, sometimes due to the cost of re-sharpening versus purchasing a new blade, it will sometimes be cheaper to purchase a new blade.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best bang for the buck every time! great cut, long lasting, great price... Diablo has always been a solid blade. Look at all it has cut this year! Just 2 blades! June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best saw blades It's beyond noticeable difference on quality, price and durability. This company makes the best saw blades and it's kinda fun just using them because you wonder how they will take a beating. They cut fast too. I ripped 212' of board in less than an hour. I finally killed my first blade after I ripped through asphalt shingles and roof sheathing while cutting back for a ridge vent. I felt kinda bad for destroying the blade and so far haven't had the heart to discard the blade because it belongs in a hall of fame or something for as much as I used it. Asphalt shingles are not good for saw blades... :) June 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Smooth cut Best blade for the price. Lasts a long time also. Framing blade and PT blade is best I've used June 5, 2016

The Diablo cuts wet pressure treated 2 x's with ease. June 4, 2016
