Vinyl railing is very attractive, easy to assemble and install. Measure twice... cut once! :) Our pops mis-measured one and we had to use a 2 part epoxy to glue a small piece back on. Looks great!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by popof5boys size not as listed on package
Like other reviews I am very disappointed with the labeling of this product. Why on earth would you put a label on a package in large letters that stated the size as 8Ft.x3Ft when it is actually only 92 inches long. I realize now that the 4 inch post would make up the difference but it is too late, my posts are installed. If you are going to call a 92 inch railing 96 inches then you should include the 4 inch post. This label may be fine for the pros that install these everyday but not for a DIY store customer.

Both the Veranda 8' railing products measure 96" in length. These are 92". To assume a deck is always going to accommodate this deficiency is absurd. We're not framing a house and needing precut 92" wall joist 2x4's. When you market something as 8', it should be 96". I wasted a lot of time on this. Very frustrating.

I ordered the railings online, and I saw that it was 8ft. Perfect because I would need to trim off 2 inches and it would have fit perfectly. But come to find out, that it is not 8ft long and it was too short. I ordered it, and waited two weeks for delivery and then come to find out it's shorter then 8ft. If it's not 8ft, then don't label that in bold at the top of the page and on the packaging, it is very misleading. So just be aware of that.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rick When is an 8 foot rail only 7' 9" ?
Read the reviews, in detail, and do not 'count' on these components being as long as they are indicated to be! They also indicate that they are '8 feet' when the components/hardware are added, that is also incorrect. It appears that they measure the whole length of the installation hardware (to add to the total), but whoever wrote the instructions obviously never installed the product or the recommended hardware. The components/hardware only adds about 1/8th -3/16th to each end.
The old adage applies here 'measure twice' - and measure your components, before you leave the store.

Very happy with this product. Super sturdy. Followed advice of previous reviewer and purchased a saw blade to cut through metal due to the metal inside the top rail. I would say I'm a beginner DIYer and along with my fiancé who had zero interest in the project, we were able to get 5 sections done in about 4 hours. (I've never installed rails before). My advice is to spend extra time installing posts (took me two days to level and attach properly) so that they are plum and level, this will save you time during the railing install. Pay special attention to your cuts and make sure you have equal spacing from your posts to your balusters. The balusters can only go in pre-spaced holes.
