The safest thing would be to use a compact LED bulb. They produce very little heat and zero UV light. Read Less

Answer:
yes you can! you can even use a LED light in the fixture, it will actually extend the life of your lens cover, because you don't have the heat to warp the lens from the 100 watt incandescent bulb.

Hi Joyce,
Yes, this exhaust fan is rated for a 15 amp circuit. Just be sure when you connect this to an existing circuit, that the fan over overload it.

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 123 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Swapped a ceiling fan for this I swapped a ceiling fan/light out with this product. The electrical was preexisting and I have no knowledge of connecting the correct wires. Wiring tips I learned on this project (no videos, I searched), blue/black/black, white/white/white, green/ground. This is done on a single switch. April 14, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NuTone 70 CFM Ceiling Exhaust Fan & Light The quality is good. Everything fit together as in the illustrations. The instructions were sparse. If the wires off of the female plugs were 2 inches longer the connections would be easier and the wires could be better tucked into position. These are minor issues but they were an annoyance during installation. However, the end product in place and operating was worth the effort. It is a good looking and effective product. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ugly, but works well. This industrial-looking fan fit the existing 15-year old NuTone fan housing that was already bolted into my ceiling. I cannot express how much I appreciate the fact that NuTone hasn't changed internal components in 15 years. This made replacement of the fan and light fixture a 5 minute job. Also, I appreciate the fact that the light fixture in this fan uses the standard e26/A19 light bulb. A few other fixtures require special $10 bulbs with obscure bases. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great Nice, but a bit tricky to install. Love the fan tho ... now that it's in! August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Fan, but very loud We had some challenges with the installation process - I don't know if we measured wrong or what the deal was but we ended up needing to cut out about another inch of our ceiling. Outside of that everything went swimmingly. The fan/light functions well -- exactly as expected. But it is very loud. It's in my master bath, and you can hear as if you were in the same room in the master bedroom and even the hallway outside the bedroom. It's not a huge problem, but its a big jarring at times as we had a much quieter fan in there before. Overall, solid purchase. June 24, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product was great for my application This product was great for my application. I had purchased one 20 years ago when I out an addition on my house. The motor went out and I was able to find one at the home improvement store near my house. I was able to replace the whole unit without changing the shell or duct work. Great product... Keep it going... Would have had to do major construction if it wasn't for your product...!!! April 28, 2016
