I swapped a ceiling fan/light out with this product. The electrical was preexisting and I have no knowledge of connecting the correct wires. Wiring tips I learned on this project (no videos, I searched), blue/black/black, white/white/white, green/ground. This is done on a single switch.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jamie This product was great for my application
This product was great for my application. I had purchased one 20 years ago when I out an addition on my house. The motor went out and I was able to find one at the home improvement store near my house. I was able to replace the whole unit without changing the shell or duct work.
Great product... Keep it going... Would have had to do major construction if it wasn't for your product...!!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MoreCanMeanLess Works great but louder than expected
After an arduous and difficult install due to the age of the original fan; though taken on with the expectation that a new closed light and fan would be much quieter, the result was quite loud but nice and bright.

Finishing my basement and I am strictly a DIYer but this was easy. It is quite and does the job. I was surprised that it had a back draft flap but it did, so saved some money

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Charlie Easy to install and much quieter than the older one I had to replace.
Bought this one for a small bathroom to replace a 17 year old fan/light combination. Because its a small toilet room rather than a full bath, was not sure if 3 sones would be too loud for such a small room but didn't want to spend 2 to 3 times as much for a unit with a quieter rating. Not disappointed. The 100 equivalent LED light I used is almost too bright for the room, so plan on switching to a 60 or 75 watt equivalent. I plan to install another one of these in our other larger full bath. It'll be much quieter in that room (10 foot ceilings and more square footage) so 75 or 100 watt equivalent LED should be perfect for that room. Note - the housing has some metal projections that make the larger LED bulbs a tight sqeeze, but with care, you should be able to use the larger wattage bulbs if you decide to go this route.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Powerinc Very Disappointed
Installation of this fan was pretty easy with no real problems. It looks nice in my bathroom with a nice flush mount to my ceiling. After finishing with the install, I turned the light/fan on for the first time. When I did, I actually thought there might be something wrong with it. The noise that the fan makes sounds as if there is a small jet engine in my bathroom. I exaggerate of course, but the noise is very loud. I took out a vent/fan that was 28 years old and only made half the noise this one does. The fan does advertise as 3 sones, but I didn't expect it to be so loud. If you don't mind talking loud to someone in the same room as you, then maybe this is the product for you. I'm very disappointed because Nutone is a good name in the industry.
