Does the heat come from the bulb only or does a fan blow the hot air?

We had ours installed by an electrician and it seems we have 2 lights and 2 exhaust. It seems the night light is the same light as the overhead, and we have 2 fan switches but I haven't found the heat!
Any thoughts?

Answer:
If it's like the two I have in my house, the unit is obviously hooked up improperly. Should be exhaust, heater, light and night night - 4 separate switches. The heater is electric and a fan circulates the air throughout the room very effectively. Had one installed in my old house and love the two in my new construction!

Answer:
From page 3 in the install manual (attached), the heater and night light should be on one side of the switch and the exhaust and overhead light should be on the other set of switches.
The heater unit is a separate fan from the exhaust. If I remember correctly it is a 1300W heater, about like a blow dryer. With that in mind, it does take a bit to heat things up but ours definitely does. The heater fan Read More

Thank you for your question. My first thought is you need to contact our Technical Support Department. This unit has four functions: (1) A light; (2) a 7 Watt night light; (3) the exhaust fan; (4) fan forced heat. If you have two ‘fan’ switches, may be the heat is not working. If your night light is the same as the light, then something might be wired incorrectly. But before I can determine anything is Read More

If your night light is the same as the light, then something might be wired incorrectly. But before I can determine anything is installed incorrectly, or that possibly the heat is defective, please contact our Technical Support Department at 888-336-6151. They will be able to trouble-shoot with you. Also, before you call, be sure to know your model number (you attached your question to 9093WH), call us between 8:30-5:00 EST, and if you have your receipt that will be helpful, too. This is a really nice unit and we look forward to helping you. Thanks, again. Read Less

Answer:
Yes, any qualified electrician should be able install a timer. You can install one of those mechanical wall mounted spring-loaded rotational timers that control the heaters in many hotel bathrooms, but unless you really know what you are doing, this is a job for a qualified electrician.

Thank you for your question on the 9093WH. A separate time (15 min. model 61W or 61V) or (60 min. model 59W or 59V) can be installed separately to control the vent or heater functions. To order one of these of timer switches, just place a Special Order at your local Home Depot store. Answer:
Yes, I replaced mine a few months ago. Very simple. It's held up by 2 screws and a hook. Remove the grill, pull the electrical wires out by their plug (squeeze the plug and pull), unscrew the 2 holding screws on either side and the entire unit (less the metal housing), will swing down on the hook. Lift off the hook and you are done.

Hi Daniel, I contacted NuTone technical to get you an answer. NuTone stated you're going to have to change the circuit to 110.
This product will not run on 240 volts. If you need additional help you can reach NuTone at 1-888-336-6151.

Answer:
Hi, Daniel. Thank you for your installation question. This heat/vent/light/night light unit must be installed using 120V. It should be on a dedicated 20 AMP circuit, but it must be 120 V, not 240. If you have further questions, just dial 888-336-6151 and our Technical Support Department can assist. Thanks, again.
