Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very useful in HVAC duct retro-fits Used this product on a recent duct retro-fit rather than wrapping the duct with blanket insulation and taping such. Five (5) foot lengths are compatible with the 5 foot lengths of duct pipe and seaming the joints with Premium Foil UL Listed HVAC Tape made for an almost invisible joint. Only cheaper way I found was to buy a 25 foot roll of flexible duct and remove the inner wire duct core, which also gives you the option for insulation lengths longer than five feet. For easier installation be sure to purchase a 'end cap' to place over the duct end which makes installation and sliding of the sleeve so much easier. December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FYI I extended a duct into a walk in closet with a booster fan and sensor which activated the fan . Don't make my mistake. I installed the duct, fan and sensor before thinking of the insulating sleeve. Because I already installed the duct I had to cut the sleeve and tape the cut. It will be much easier to slide the insulating sleeve before the duct is installed. If you don't insulate the duct it will sweat. If you do need to cut the sleeve length wise find the fiberglass end and cut the foil jacket in that spot. If you cut it in any other location the fiberglass will be in 2 pieces and will be more cumbersome to work with. July 26, 2016
