So I had two doors to do so I hastily picked up two packages and headed home. NOTICE: THERE IS ONLY 84" in the package which will NOT do a complete door !
At the local price of over $12.00 per package I really expected to be able to do the whole door.
So before the haters check in I have to point out the length of the material is listed on the BACK of the package......and the picture on the front has a door graphic with three little arrows pointing at the 3 sides of the door.
Product is decent.....I was shocked when discovering how little you get for $12.00 + .

Purchased this to replace weather strip on one of my doors. As usual things got in the way and finally got around to replacing the old weather strip. Installation was fairly easy. The new strip was easy to use, and just cut off the piece did not need. So far the strip has been on for over two months and is holding up very well. Hoping it will last longer that the original strip.

This was purchased to replace some weather stripping on a Simpson door that my dog damaged. This weather stripping is far inferior to the OEM product that came with the door. The OEM product is thick and foamy. This product is a thin strip of plastic. I intend to return it and search for something more comparable to the OEM product.

I bought this to replace a worn out weather stripping on one side of front door. I needed 3 packs, each 84' length. Removing old and installing replacement was easy. When I closed the door to check the gap between the door and frame you could see a small gap in some areas or that it didn't look as clean. If you have any gaps <1/4 then it looks fine. If gap is 1/4 or more, then you might have problems. It because the fold is like triangle bend vs the orig which was more round shape. Its a slightly more stuffer than the orig. foam one. So if have big gaps then better go with the Frost King one instead. Thank you

I probably should have paid more attention to the package. I thought I was getting replacement weatherstripping for the entire door. This package is just one 84" length -- good for one side of the door frame. It was very easy to install and sits well in the door frame. The door closes without any issue. I'll have to pick up a couple more packages to replace all around the door frame.

I was surprised at just how easy this was to install. The existing weatherstrip was losing its effectiveness and it was time to upgrade. The way this installs its by fitting snugly into the door frame - there is no sticky surface to fight with. Took all of five minutes to remove the old one (which installed the same way) and put in this new one. The quality feels good, and the white color blends in nicely.

I bought this to replace about a two-foot segment of the original weatherstripping my dog had chewed off on the bottom part of my front door. This was a perfect match for color and style of weatherstripping, so that was a very strong point. I simply cut the old weatherstripping about an inch or two above where it had been chewed up to make a square bottom edge, made a square cut on the new insulation, cutting it about an inch longer than needed. I butted the two square cuts together, inserted the flat side into the groove in the door jamb and ran it all the way to the bottom of the door. At the very bottom, I ensured it was tucked back inside the sill plate, cut off the extra material I had left to be sure it would be long enough, and that was it. The gap was sealed perfectly to light and any air loss or penetration.
Easy fix, effective, and very good value.

If your existing weatherstrip is worn, hopefully your door frame has standard groves that will allow you to install this replacement strip. Simply cut to length you need for either the door step or the side frames, remove the existing strip, and then install the new strip. For longer door frames, it can be difficult to pull the new strip through to the ends. I also would recommend leaving a little extra when you start since having the strip too short would negate its purpose of sealing the door frame when the door is closed. The corners are difficult, but if you cut on an angle, it should line up well enough to seal the corners as well.
