The plastic end of the roller cage broke when the first roller cover was put on. From the construction I don' see how this would ever last more than one job.

The end that you screw into a pole separates from the wooden handle almost immediately. Bought these looking for a higher quality 9in roller handle than the orange plastic ones. Absolutely not worth it. Worse than the cheaper alternative.

Like others said, the metal piece at end for pole came loose with in 2 gallons of paint. after wasting 3 of these frames, I put a screw through it to hold for working.
I ask sales person for the best roller frame in the store, bought 6 of them for my workers.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, JUNK.

I used these to spread elastomeric roof coating - a pretty heavy duty job. The threads didn't last more than a few hours before loosening up. The reinforcing band around the top may have kept it from splitting out, but that's about it. I'm returning both frames that I purchased.

A bit heavier than the plastic ones, but more comfortable and they last longer.
