Answer:
They do! I've used them on/in grass and rock pathways as well as under large potted plants. They are a good size, not too big or heavy, are easy to pick up, carry and move around to try different angles and layouts.

Hello OakmontGB,
The stones look great whether interlocked or separated. The chose is completely up to you and what you feel looks best. If you would like to see some examples of layouts like you've suggested then I recommend doing a search for "broken stone walkways". That should give you a good idea of the look of the final result. I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Chris

This paver used to be part of a 5-piece interlocking set. Do you have anyting comparable?

I prefer the adobe-look which of course would match existing pavers.

I am having hard time putting together these stones on the front yard and not able to decide which piece to place where in the puzzle. Any repeated pattern that can be identified and lay out in a semi circle / rectangle / other shape with at teast one straight side.

I laid down a pattern in our front yard, replacing roughly a 13' X 10' patch of dead grass (because of drought). Pretty simple -- start with the idea of putting two "pointy sides" end-to end, and you should have no problem knowing how to fit the rest of the pavers together to make a continuous design in all four directions (it takes about six-pavers to complete the design, which is then repeated); I went Read More

Answer:
Hi Heinz, while using a chisel and hammer would be awesome and very creative. This is a hard way to go about making a walkway with wetcast. stone.
The wetcast stone is 1 & 3/4 inch thick, also harder than a paver. You should use a masonry saw to get this project done.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A pain to work with I installed a small patio of these pavers, and I have a few odd shapes around the edges. I went through half a dozen pavers and not one of them could be trimmed the long way with hammer and chisel. Very poorly made product that fractures easily in every way but the way you are trying to cut. May 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect The stones are perfect for concrete walk ways or placed in the lawn. I have a HUGE deck in my back yard and I have these stones tiled around it set in concrete. They are very natural looking and are a real eye catcher to my friends and family when they come over. The color of them is very warm and not too dark and not to light. Very durable and you don't slip on them when wet. Great upgrade to the backyard. September 13, 2010
