Heater was easy to install. Keep in mind that these will smell horrible for the first few hours you run them, which is typical for any new heater installation. The smell will go away and provide you with nice quiet heat. Time your installation so you can keep the windows open!
I recently had new floors and baseboard trim put throughout the house. The old heaters were metal colored and I wanted to update the look. This one heater replaced 14 ft. of the old baseboard heaters inf front of our picture window in our living room. It provides plenty of heat. We have electric heat only. This heater was slightly different than the Cadet brand I bought from HomeDepot.com but since they are in a different room, it would be hard to notice the difference.

This heater is low profile, quietly warms the room without being seen! Perfect for my small area, where every inch matters!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rick Humming noise is a real deal breaker.
I bought this to use in a bedroom and that was a mistake. Although it heats very well, there is a constant humming noise as soon as it turns on.. During normal house activity it might not be noticeable, but at bedtime when everything is quiet, it drove me nuts!
Based on the other reviews, I have just ordered a Cadet and will return this Fahrenheat. Too bad I didn't read the reviews before I bought it.
. However, if you're going to use it in a high activity area like living room, den, office etc. it will probably be fine for you as the hum will not be that noticeable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by tk1963 does a good job
Picked 2 and hooked them up togoether on a parallel circuit to heat an insullated but unheated back porch. They do a great job of heating but one has a low level buzz when it is running and the other does not.
Installation was easy.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Andrew mediocre quality
I purchased this unit for my basement. Fit and finish is mediocre-- flat white powder coat, metal thickness is fair. For installation, there is only one wire hole per side, so if your wire height coming from the wall is higher or lower, you have to cut the wall. When powered on, unit makings a soft buzzing sound. Definitely provided adequate heat. I used for a week and returned it for a Cadet model, which had two holes for wires on each side, fit and finish superior with a nice glossy coat, and no buzzing sound.

I bought two of these heaters for a new addition on my house. They heat up well, but they produce an extremely annoying humming noise! Overall, I'm not happy with the heaters due to the constant humming they produce.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JBStrider Great Heater for the money!!!
I replaced an old electric baseboard heater (1970 era) that worked but didn't heat the room as fast as this new design does. The new unit heats the room much faster and draws a little less power so even though the old unit worked it was not as efficient as this new one. If your electric baseboard heaters are old then you should replace them even if they still work. Since they are independent from each other you can replace them one at a time and not have to buy them all at once.

I bought this to supplement a heat pump that doesn't even come close to heating my home in the Northeast. I didn't expect much, but it does a better job than I expected. It does take a little while, but if you anticipate your could temps a bit it's no problem. Plus you can't beat the price.
