Probably a silly question, BUT...... This says "AC" safe.
I have a swamp cooler. I thought "AC" was based upon Freon, while Swamp cooler's use water, as the evaporative source.
Does this mean "AC" safe, meaning I shouldn't put them in my swamp cooler?

Answer:
I used to avoid the condensation of the water on my A/C unit. The tablets does not allow the water inside the A/C unit, to become clogged... so I do not need to add any clorox-mix into it for about a year. Although, I do not know if you can use it on your swamp cooler. Sorry.

Answer:
This for use in the drain pan, not internally in an air conditioner, so it should be fine in a swamp cooler.

Answer:
DON'T EVER MIX CHLORINE WITH ANYTHING!!! IT WILL KILL YOU! The tablet kills bacteria, which is what causes clogs in the pan drain. This isn't rocket surgery. Take one tablet, put it in the drain pan as directed, don't call me in the morning.

DO NOT USE ANY CHLORINE OF ANY TYPE(bleach, pool, hot tube, etc.) SINCE IT IS HIGHLY CAUSTIC and WILL CAUSE SEVERE CORROSION(rust, oxidation) TO MOST COMPONENTS and oxidation of almost all metals and some plastics(there are exceptions like stainless steel 318/318L), and will eat through any paint no matter how high quality it is. Also Warranty Issues would probably not cover you doing something foolish Read More

Believe this to be the same as the "white mints" placed in the urinals to keep them minty fresh, but don't eat them, they probably taste bad and are bad for you!!!

I believe it works like the "white mints" that are usually placed in the urinals in the Men's Room to help keep them clean and minty fresh and odor free.
PS.: Don't touch or eat those, they probably do not taste good and are bad for you !

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product I use to avoid the condensation of the water on my A/C unit. I gave it to my A/C guy to use when the did the maintenance of the unit for summer. It works like a charm and I do not have to worry about it. This is the second year on a road that I use without problem. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product The pan tablets are very easy way to treat the AC drain line. I put one tablet in, right before the u-trap, every other month and don't have any drain issues. March 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product Every year my air conditioner condensation tray would overflow onto the garage floor. Started using this product two years ago, no more problems. I put in three tablets per year and it works great. September 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worthless These tablets don't do anything. I put the full pack of six at various places in the A/C pan after I wet-vacuumed the pan and blew everything out. The next day the pan still leaked, so I opened it up again and all six tables were gone. Don't know if they just all disolved, or all ran out the discharge pipe. Completely worthless product. Had to go out again and clean it the old fashion way with compressed air and clorox. Don't waste you money on these tables. Just buy a cheap gallon of bleach instead. September 2, 2009
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not for all These little things did not work for me. I cant understand why. I followed what little direction that was given and that didnt help me. I now have the rest of them for no reason. November 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product These tablets work very well. I only visit my Florida condo 3 times a year and I have to keep the A/C on while I'm gone. Our A/C units have small drain pipes and flood over real easy if they aren't maintained. But these tablets keep the drain clear! August 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product These tablets are very easy to drop into the air conditioner guts and seem to sweeten the air. One window AC unit had a mouldy odor which disappered over a day or two, These were they only ones I could find so cheers to HD. August 21, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by the heat of delivery appears to have hardened product these typically work great in our dehumidifier when purchased in-store. However, these bought via delivery must have been over heated because they do not dissolve properly. September 18, 2011
