Will this suit protect from accidental contact with battery acid?

Asked by: kris
This suit is a breathable fabric which protects skin and clothing from fiberglass particles, and dust. Best for use in attics while blowing insulation, or in homes and garages while sanding drywall, or sweeping dust particles. It will not protect from acids, chemicals, or pesticides.

This suit fits fine when standing, but first time bending over or squatting to pick something up and the crotch rips wide open. I'm not overweight and in the middle of the size range for this suit. If they made it with a diamond shaped panel in the crotch it would not stress the light fabric and allow for normal active working postures. Don't waste you money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from save your money putting on the suit it ripped, also the suit stiching is not strong. when i was gathering my stuff the stiching in the forearms of all places were starting to pop. I'm 5'9 and it was very snug in the crotch. it did keep a lot of the dust out, but did allow a good amount through even when I taped up the holes when it ripped from doing nothing. save yourself time and money buy something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ripped when I put it on I am a stocky build guy 5'9 200lbs XL ripped in the crotch area as I was putting it on. Not recommended for people with muscular legs did not see XXL.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible performance and will not last a day on the job These coveralls barely lasted through a few hours of painting and the fabric let the stain through to my clothes underneath. Second day the armpit area tore out and the zipper came apart so into the trash they went. Fortunately I had some Kleenguard disposable coveralls and could use them. The Kleenguard are much better in every way. It is all I buy now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for what it is Bought 3 of these for use with drywall repair work in order to keep dust and debris out of my hair and off of my skin and clothes. Seems to work well for what it is. Also seemed durable enough to remove and reuse (at least for the same project), although I haven't done so, as the project included mold removal ("plain" dry mold, not the "toxic" wet slimy black/green variety). Still not done with project, so will be buying another 3 of these; likely to continue using this for future projects.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would not recomment it to anyone. The picture on the box was deceptive - it appeared that the garment was not see-thru, not that it was more like paper than cloth. Also, there was no sizing - it turned out to be too small for me.
