Answer: 
This product cannot be used in any application where compliance to the National Electrical code (NEC®) is required. Legally it cannot be used in any application covered by the NEC since the NEC requires the product to be listed.
The UL Listed Types LFMC are listed for direct burial in the US. The Canadian Electrical Code does not permit the product to be direct buried.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stuff, but does not like the cold. Wired a barn with this and saved hours over using conduit. Not to mention that the fittings required no pvc cement. Perhaps a few ripples in long runs, But I put this down to the tightness of the original wrapping and the fact that it was 10 to 20 F. when I was doing it. It won't make a true 90 bend but does a great job when making a sweep. And bends around framing members beautifully. It can be cut as it's being installed, and very little waste. December 27, 2011
