This was a replacement for my 16 year old Bemis humidifier. The problem is
that the 2nd water tank doesn't kick in after the first tank empties. I have been in
touch twice with the manufacturer rep. There is a thin silver strip that must touch the
float so they claim. It does touch or the first tank wouldn't be working, I assume. They claim this also triggers the 2nd tank to "kick in". They claim that is the problem. They are sending me a new motor housing with a new silver strip. This is the key part of the product and is very poorly designed.Oh how I wish I could get a new Bemis humidifier. If this doesn't solve the problem,
I am better off not having it and returning it for a full refund.

There's not many options for a humidifier in this size range, so we settled on it. There is no way I can say it is quiet on the lowest setting, it's loud on the lowest and gets worse as the speed is increased. You have to turn up the tv, it's that loud. The two water containers also chime in with loud glug, glug when water is released. This is a great example of what happens when there is not competition. No effort to produce a quality product, yet the price is outrageous. It does increase the humidity and we don't have to refill it every day, which is why we bought it and are keeping it.

This is a pretty nice looking machine, and my wife and I started feeling quite warm within a half hour of setting the humidifier up. I turned the daytime thermostat down three degrees, and we still felt quite warm. It was a little tricky setting up, however. The instruction manual left a little to be desired in clarity. I had to guess where to install the float—it wasn't as pictured in the manual. The water bottles empty one at a time. But sometimes the second bottle doesn't empty, and you don’t realize it until you start to get cold. I do highly recommend this machine. The increased use of electricity should be offset by the money we save on reduced heating cost. I may need new bottle caps.

The humidifier works very well. I am satisfied with its performance. However, i'd like to point out one improvement. After the RIGHT bottle empties and the LEFT bottle is being used, when I refill the RIGHT bottle, the humidifier switches over to the RIGHT bottle before the LEFT bottle has emptied.
It would be advantageous to have the LEFT bottle continue to empty before the RIGHT bottle begins.

Not the easiest design to fill the jugs for water. It does however provide enough needed moisture. Its also a challenge to find the "filter" for it when you need to replace it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JoeJet Quality control is extremely poor.
Very disappointed. Quality control is extremely poor. The motor burned out after only one hour of use. Also the top grill wasn’t fully painted and looked terrible. I ordered a second unit and inspected it in the store. The grill had the same problem as the first and wasn’t painted properly, so I asked for a refund. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.

I've been running this humidifier for two months now, and it works rather well. The construction is OK. The plastic is somewhat thin, but if it survives shipping I don't see any problems.
The unit sips power when idle. I was unable to detect any draw with my Kil-A-Watt. While running at the lowest fan speed it registers under 60 W. The unit is quite loud at anything other than the lowest speed setting, but I haven't found any reason to turn it higher. When the temperature outside drops such that the humidifier can't keep up, you need to turn the humidifier down to prevent condensation on the windows anyway.
Only negative is the float switch is a bit fussy. Sometimes it doesn't turn off when the unit is empty and sometimes it indicates a fill when it isn't necessary. This is only an occasional issue and is easily solved by jostling the switch.
A good purchase overall.
