Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tiburonallen This product is a great improvement in our home comfort!
This is our first humidifier. Didn't realize how bad the humidity "wasn't" in our home.(16%) Works wonderful! Have it set for 45%, kicks on and off perfectly! Sits in our kitchen and brought our humidity up to 32% in the living room. (30% to 50% recommended) No more static shock as before and our home is much warmer with the furnace at same setting. Easy to use, easy assemble. Refills easily...about once in 24 hours. (we don't wait til the water sensor comes on) Easy to read water level float. Love this style and features with it-Auto off when water level is empty, set humidity range at you specifications, 9-speed fan setting, and night-time setting for no-show lights. Highly recommend. Love the comfort it's produced in our Home!!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bumper First ever humidifier
The unit is well built, quiet, easy to fill and does what it is advertised to do. My complaint is that there is no way to tell how full it is without getting a flashlight and looking directly at the water level through the refill port. The owner's manual says there is an indicator just inside the refill port, but that is not the case on the unit I received. All in all I am happy with it and believe it to be worth the money. Hint: buy the water additive to keep the water fresh. It's cheap because it takes only 1/6 oz per gal.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CCOX The best humidifier I have purchased
It's true what the other reviews say about water coming out of the vents if poured in too fast. I just purchased a 4 gallon bucket with a pour spout and slowly pour the water in (not an inconvenience by any means). I even rest the bucket on the door and haven't had any problems with it breaking. The unit has 3 wicks so it doesn't take long for the humidity to rise. We use public water which is hard. This unit does not leave white residue every where like the sonic humidifiers. I am currently using in a bedroom. Even though the unit has wheels I am going to purchase another unit for our livingroom.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mofacky72 Unsure so far.
Used this for about 2 weeks and got sick. Had it close to my desk and believe that was the issue. We are moving to a larger home soon and I will try it somewhere other than near me. Will review more then.
I did notice the humidity level went from 18% to 40% in 24-36 hours of use. Refilling is kind of a pain. You must pour slowly to avoid spilling out the sides. On way to fill would be to use a hose. This would avoid any spilling. Noise doesn't seem to be a huge issue unless it's right next to you on high.

Got it out of the box, and was easy to setup and assemble. That is about the only good thing I can say about it. The water fill port is too small and when I poured water in with a pitcher, it splashed off of internal areas and sloshed out the side vents. The fill port door would not close completely, and I noticed the plastic case was coming apart. Then I turned it on, and all seemed okay. I turned the fan speed down to see if it would run a little quieter, but then found that the button to increase fan speed did not work. Packed it up and returned it with no hassle, but the customer service rep at HD never asked why I was returning it. Sure hope it didn't end up back on the shelf. Pile of cheaply made, poorly assembled junk.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bob45 Quiet and efficient but refilling can be messy
Does what the manufacturer says, it humidifies. Variable fan speed allows for quiet and efficient operation. 3.5 gallon capacity requires frequent refill and refilling takes care or you have a wet floor all around the machine.
If this is the only humidifier in the house it will require filling two or more time per day. I doubt the stated coverage capacity. This was purchased as a second humidifier for a house that has a bedrooms on opposite ends and great room in the center and only 2200 sf. I love Essick machines for their simplicity, ease of care and efficiency of operation. They run other manufacturers humidifiers in the ground when it comes to operation, maintenance and value.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rita Wonderful - everything I had hoped for
I am completely satisfied with this product. It does what it is supposed to do - humidifies my home. I have a nice-size 2-story twin and I put it at the bottom of my stairs. I fill it twice a day with a garden sprinkling can with a long neck (cap off). No static electricity in this house this winter! I do not consider the fan blowing on High noisy - you just don't put it in the room you are watching TV in if it bothers you (it's like white noise) - use common sense. The fan turns down low or off when it reaches the level of humidity set and completely off when needs to be filled. Works beautifully.

Poorly made , falling apart out of the box! Cheap plastic clips break and Had to duct tape the float contact to get to work. Anti bacteria treatment was supposed to be included, mine was missing and the wicks molded and had to be replaces quickly... Not worth the money.Cheap "piece" do not buy this junk
