Never seen one with 8 feet, and most I've purchased have about 5'.
6' is actually the perfect length for me to use in a stand-alone shower.

The hose looks like chrome metal to match the head. I'm not sure if the actual material under the chrome is metal or plastic.

The hose end connectors are metal, and the shiny coil wrap that covers the inner hose appears to be aluminum. It's does not react to a magnet. It is quite sturdy.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 45 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Shower Sprayer Great shower sprayer love the shut off button on it helps when giving dogs a bath. Also has 3 different spray settings which all 3 are great massages well worth the price. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great water saver This is a good basic shower head to use if you are concerned about not wasting water & don't need all those different spray settings. It delivers a strong stream for me, but this house doesn't have water pressure problems. What i like best is being able to easily & safely pause the flow & the push button works flawlessly. Nice metal hose which is not too long. Can't say how durable it is at this point as it's only been in about a month, but i have had another AM product that lasted for years. April 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good, inexpensive shower head Easy to install, looks good, has several settings for different water patterns. Hose is long enough to rinse the tub after a shower. May 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to shop online with Home Depot Would be great if the accessory parts needed to install were recommended or advertized along with it. We had to go back and forth a few times to the store 20 miles away until we got the right fittings. March 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with this purchase easy to install, great for cleaning the shower after I am done with me. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Install. Installed in Minutes. Spoiler pause works great. The first handheld I installed did not perform to my satisfaction, so I returned it for this one. This one works great and the spoiler pause is excellent. I would highly recommend this for the home owner, who wants to take a great shower, while reducing their water usage. June 4, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great price on a functional product This is a very good product for the price. The installation instructions were very clear, and the product installed without any problems. It has three main settings - I find the middle setting the best (pulse in the middle, surrounded by stream), rather than just pulse or just stream. The "pause" features works pretty well, although it's hard to activate. It's a small button on the side of the showerhead, which requires some pressure to move. A few other observations on general usage: (1) because the removable showerhead is mounted in the holder by its bottom edge, the showerhead ends up being very high, much higher than a standard showerhead, which makes the water pressure feel weaker than it is, since it's falling so far before it gets to the user. The angle is also a bit odd - it's a bit more vertical than a typical stream. (2) water pressure is a bit weak versus my former 2.5gpm model, as would be expected from a 2gpm showerhead. The same manufacturer also sells a similar showerhead that is 1.5gpm - I would think that would be too low. (3) the 6' metal hose is probably longer than it needs to be, and since no hook or other attachment method is provided, it's a bit ungainly in appearance. April 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Install, Saves Water, 'Pause' Feature Works Great Installing a new shower head is a task that any person can accomplish, whether you have lots of plumbing experience, or if your experience goes no further than knowing where the faucet is. When finished, you get to enjoy your work every single day. Not only do you get a very nicely chromed fixture that has three different spray settings and a pause feature from AM Conservation, you get to know that you're saving water at the same time. That's good for your water bill, and for the environment. You'll need a small roll of teflon tape to re-seal the threads on the shower pipe, but other than that, everything is included. Installation takes five minutes. You unscrew the old showerhead, clean off the pipe threads and wrap some new teflon tape around the cleaned threads. Screw on the showerhead bracket, screw on the flexible metal shielded hose to the bracket and then the showerhead itself and you're done. Once installed you twist the output of the showerhead to change the type of spray you desire. If you have to stop the flow while showering, press the pause button and the flow reduces to a trickle. Once you are ready to finish showering, press the button again and the full flow returns without having to readjust the water pressure or temperature. A very nice feature. The flow of water is noticeably lower than other regular showerheads since it's designed to conserve water, but they compensate for that with a nozzle design that increases the pressure of the water stream as it exits, so it doesn't feel like you're using less water. You still get just as clean. There are only two minor things I'd like to see changed. I would like an extra foot of hose and for them to include teflon tape, which other companies do. Other than that, this is a good buy and a nice quality fixture that pays for itself with water savings after a few months. July 22, 2013
