Bought an expansion tank in-store and read reviews on the product after the fact. Appeared to be a less quality product. Came across the Therm-X tank and the reviews were much better. So I ordered this online and had it shipped to my home. Product came as advertised and arrived early. I did try to just hand tighten tank because I didn't have a 12' crescent wrench. It leaked. Once I got the wrench and tightened it down it worked as expected.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Stewart Easy to install, resolved my problem ...
I purchased this product because it was an exact replacement for the original expansion tank installed in my home. The original tank lasted approx. 8 years before it began to fail. I wasn't sure what my problem was at first. I only knew that I had increased water pressure at my residence. After ruling out several other possibilities I turned my attention to the expansion tank. Following the manufacturers instructions (and some youtube videos) I was able to easily replace my old tank with this new one. My pressure problems were resolved immediately. I couldn't be happier - largely because I didn't have to pay a plumber to make the repair.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Andrew No issues so far
I don't think my review will be very helpful.
I just want to mention following things:
- delivery was quick
- I did not have any issues to install it. I had to cut main line and put in place only one connector. I did not have to do anything extra.
- When I checked pressure it was a bit less than 40 psi so make sure you check yours before installation
- It's been only 1 month since I installed it, and so far it seems to be working fine

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Bobby Won't leak the way cheaper expansion tanks can.
This was a replacement of same model. Don't take chances with cheaper expansion tanks...these won't leak from corrosion, even in a muggy Florida garage. Check the pressure at least once a year, or the bladder will tear like my old one did...my fault. Fast, easy to install. Match the air pressure to the water inlet pressure, check it annually, and it should last indefinitely. Use "Rector Seal 5" pipe thread sealant and two wrenches, hand tighten, and you're done. Total job, including old expansion tank removal, 10 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by NSA12 Great product, easy to install
It was very easy to install. This is the first time I installed a expansion tank. Our water heater started leaking water from the exhaust line. I removed the old expansion tank and installed this one within 30 minutes and the problem went away.
