Product Overview

ANViL Deck-A-New Wood and Concrete Textured Resurfacer is a rejuvenator coating for weathered or damaged wood and concrete surfaces. Deck-A-New’s beautiful textured solid color finish repairs, structurally sound, wooden and composite decks, concrete patios, walkways steps and porches while offering maximum protections to preserve the surface for years. The coating encapsulates splinters and fills cracks delivering a beautiful slip resistant finish that is scuff, peel and chip resistant. Protect both interior/exterior vertical/horizontal wood and concrete surfaces with lasting durability. Wooden surfaces: replace rotting or unstable decking boards and remove all loose splinters. Clean the surface to remove mildew, dirt and oil prior to application. Level all nail or screw heads. Concrete surfaces: remove all dirt, efflorescence, grease, oil, waxes, silicone products and other foreign material that would interfere with the adhesion of Deck-A-New. Un-coated smooth steel-toweled concrete floors (floors with no porosity) must be totally cured and cleaned with ANViL Clean and Etch #1450. For best results, must apply two coats by brush, roller or texture sprayer. For normal aged wood, composite or concrete decks use a synthetic roller with a 3/8 in. nap. For extremely weathered, cracked and damaged wood decks, apply with a nylon-loop textured roller. Apply product at a rate of 120 to 160 sq. ft. per gal., depending on porosity (60-80 sq. ft. in two coats).

Deck-A-New 5-gal. Cedar Rejuvenates Wood and Concrete Decks Premium Textured Resurfacer is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, thick stain! I put two coats down on a 1000 square foot deck. Used about 1 and 2/3 of two five gallon buckets. Looks great. SW Michigan; we'll see how long it lasts. I thoroughly power washed the 10-year-old deck first. Brushed the whole deck with a 3.5" brush for both coats. Lots of work but it really came out great. A little dark shade of cedar but it still looks great! Definitely would recommend if it lasts 10 years or more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good so Far This stuff covers as advertised. It is very thick paint. I put it on about two weeks ago, so we will see how long it lasts. I have not painted the lattice skirt around the deck yet since it is so thick, I anticipate a lengthy project to get this done with a brush. My deck is over 800 sq ft and we used rollers and brushes for the application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best option for deck resurfacing I was debating whether or not to replace my deck boards as they were fairly worn and cracked. During the research process, I came across Deck-A-New and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did! The product goes on very thick and fills in most of the normal cracks caused by normal weathering. It is extremely strong and very scratch resistant as long as you prepare the surface properly. I highly recommend running either an orbital or belt sander across the surface to ensure any loose stain is removed. This will also ensure the surface is "scuffed" for proper adhesion. As long as you do this, the product will serve you well. Note: This product has a very sandy surface. It does look like this is an online only purchase. I ordered and had it sent to the local HD store. Shipping was very fast and I am extremely satisfied with the entire process. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goes on Thick, but does the job! After reading so many bad reviews for similar products, and seeing this product had a pretty good number of positive reviews, I went ahead and purchased this product. IT IS THICK, so double what you think you will need. Also, in some cases, adding a little water helps the product get deep into cracks.
