Rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replaced 1960's furnace motor. I purchased this to replace a furnace motor installed in 1966, so the installation was not a simple in, and out, process. However, if you are a reasonably experienced DIYer, it was straight forward. The wiring had to be deciphered, and the mounting to the fan had to be adjusted, and, also, the original motor did not have an external capacitor, so that added a little extra doing. FYI, the yellow wire is the Common/neutral; I had to get online to learn THAT bit of important info. I had to purchase an expensive hub puller to remove the fan from the shaft of the motor; be sure to loosen the motor mounting brackets before using the puller, and keep the puller straight to prevent distorting the hub. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good value When the blower motor in my Carrier furnace went belly up, I was looking at about $300 for an original equipment replacement, plus probably that much more for professional installation. This AO Smith motor cost about one third of that, was a direct replacement and was a snap to install. It turned out to be a good decision! August 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product was an exact replacement no modifications necessary The only thing I would recommend a couple of wires did not have clips and I had to add them on. I would put the clips on all wires to save the customer time. April 24, 2014
