Answer:
Thank you for your inquiry. The amount of runtime the BX1000G can provide will depend on the size of the load attached. If there is a 400 watt load attached, for example, the UPS will provide approximately 10 minutes of runtime.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so great! I'm only on day one, but am very impressed with this next generation of ups! I turn off my monitors and the ups lcd display dynamically changes the ammount of time the battery could run the system for! What a wonderful tool when you loose power in the middle of a render! You get to see a lot more than what the photo shows! stats on voltage, battery, how many outages, what percentage of capacity is being used, battery runtime..... Great sleek design that actually fits! -and not too heavy considering. **finally, the battery install on first use was the easiest ever! just slides in! no clunky wires like my old ones! Good going APC! Keep em going! January 20, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Still an Excellent Product I have used a previous model of XS1000 for 7 years. Replaced the battery once. An overload finally took that one out last week. Still needed the same power rating as before and the newer XS1000 was the obvious choice for me. I like its new features with the LCD screen for immediate info. I like the lower profile to fit under an open shelf and the black color to hide the plastic's yellowing as it ages. Using Powerchute, the UPS is easy to configure. I have great confidence in this product as it will protect my computer system and other goodies for years to come. Very competitive pricing and of High quality. Excellent Product! November 16, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Long Battery Life, Needs More Odd Sized Outlets Nice, Loooong battery life! And while there were not that many to choose from, Fry's Electronics is at fault for that, not APC, (Guess that tells ya how good APC is, they were nearly sold out!). Then, I found this beauty! It has great battery life, and its got several outlets! But, it could have 1 or 2 more odd size outlets. I currently covered one of the battery backed outlets because of the lack of a 2nd one. other than that, I like the fact that it stands up, which makes it that much better in terms of space o the floor, and the fact that I don't hit my foot on this one like I used to do with my back-ups 750! Anyway, if I have any problems down the line, I will let everybody know! February 6, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Over a decade with APC We bought our first two APC Back-UPS Pro 500's back in August 1999. They have been in continuous use, except for battery replacement, since then. The batteries last about 3 years between replacements. The UPS themselves just keep on working. That is why when we got a newer PC with power demands greater than the 300watt Back-UPS Pro 500, we chose the APC Back-UPS XS1000. I love the front panel display that my old UPS didn't have. I would recommend APC products to any of my friends for reliability, price, and features. June 26, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by bx1000g brought in July 2010, so far it seems to work just fine, is nice to have a LCD that can tell you how much time is left, load percentage, and events. previous size was a 600W unit, but due to older 350W unit died, replace old unit with another brand to keep power to VCR. I like the idea that it can run my modem while the power is off, which is often in my area, and with laptop on batteries, can be in dark for hours, but still have use of computers. naturally keeps hardware protected from surges and brownouts as well. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Immediate battery charging failure A brand new unit does not charge the battery. In fact, from the approximate 25% in-factory charge, the battery drained to 0% within 12 hours while being connected to 126V as reported by the unit's display. After using numerous units in the last two decades, I expected equally great performance from APC products. However, after reading similar stories on Amazon, I decided to post my experience here as well. APC we know you can do better than this! April 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Catch I'm using this device as a backup battery for the electronic controller of a new tankless water heater system. When I first plugged it in, I noticed an error indication on the rear panel for the outlet; after checking it and others in the basement area, I discovered that FIVE outlets were miswired (hot and neutral was reversed). I repaired all of them today and am sure glad the unit let me know there was a problem! April 3, 2011
