can this unit (apc surge/arrest performance 11-outlets surge suppressor) be attached to a vertical surface, like the back of a desk - does it have mounting brackets or is it meant only for sitting on the floor?
Asked by: Ron
Thank you for inquiry. The P11VNT3 can be mounted on a vertical surface. It doesn't have mounting brackets but there is posts on the back of the unit that you can use to mount the unit. You can just use the mounting holes to install the unit on the back of your desk.

Will the coax coonnectors meet the requirements of a 50 Ohm Surge Protector for Cell Phone Signal Booster Outdoor Antennas?

I am installing a cell phone amplifier and Weboost states I can use their 50 Ohm Surge Protector Model Number 859902. I am wondering if this power strip will do the same thing.
Asked by: Wayne
Thank you for inquiry. This surge protector uses a 75 Ohm coax connector. Please check with Weboost to confirm if this will work instead of a 50 Ohm coax connector.

Customer Reviews

SurgeArrest Performance 11-Outlets Surge Suppressor is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightning does strike twice. We had a Non-APC vendor power surge protecting our outside cable coax line and a network cable coming into our house from the outside (my husband does astrophotography in the backyard and needs network connectivity better than wireless.) Well lightning struck the back of our yard and took out BOTH the coax and Cat5e network cable, long with very piece of IT gear we had. It took 2 weeks to get us back up and running with Comcast. I'm hoping this does better. We are using both the network and coax surge protectors and most of the plugs. We are crossing our fingers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surge Power Strip An excellent piece of equipment necessary for any home or business. We have deployed many of these in various locations and have had no failures to this date. It accommodates larger transformers without losing any outlets. In Florida we have frequent lighting storms and this gives us piece of mind knowing we are protected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Purchase Bought this to replace a old surge protector that never really worked well from the get go! So far I am very happy with this one as all the sockets work and we have had a few power surges and nothing happened. Would recommend this highly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protect everything at a great price. I was recently reminded the hard way that a surge coming in on your cable wire takes out everything is connected to. So protecting your TV with the best surge suppressor is worthless when it's connected to an unprotected coax outlet. This covers everything in one package and even includes decent quality RJ11, RJ45, and coax cables. Of course you don't know how well it works until a nasty storm but my past experience with APC and their reputation gives them the benefit of the doubt that this will work in combination with my whole house suppressor in the panel. Keep in mind this will be a big footprint when filled with wall warts on both sides. If it's going behind an entertainment center or desk seriously consider mounting to the wall unless you have at least a foot of floor space back there.
