This extreme duty replacement snow blower shoe (sold individually) is designed to lift snow blowers up over sidewalk cracks up to almost 2 in.. Bottom runners are 12 in. long, and are CNC cut from 1/4 in. thick steel plate more than twice as thick as many stock skids. You may have bent your stock skids, but you are not going to bend these. By design, the leading edge of our skid is moved forward, to protect and gently lift snow blowers up over bumps. The angle of the leading edge is less than half that of most stock skids. For every bump the skid encounters, it has more than twice the distance to lift the snow blower up, compared to a stock skid shoe. Made in America with American Steel. Gravel is brutal on snow blowers. Stock skids dig into gravel, leave ruts, and bend when they encounter frozen rocks. Armors kids provide a ski-like glide over uneven terrain, exactly what is needed for gravel driveways. Details: This skid size has 4 slots. Slots are designed to have a slightly loose fit on a 3/8 bolt. Washers required (not included). Note that due to size of skid there may be clearance issues with other bolts or protrusions on the snow blower. Either use the old skid as a spacer, or large fender washers to space skid further outward if needed. Patent Pending. This item is a single skid most people will want to order 2 skids, one for each side of the snow blower.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great skids Really worth it, cost less than the original ones from sears. Look like they will last a long time. Machine is much easier to move. Fit Craftsman model 536881851 perfectly. February 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product that works! After many years of replacing the skids on my Craftsman 536.886261 with original (OEM) replacements, I decided to try something new. Original skids caught just about every crack and sidewalk gap, which unfortunately is a reality at my home. Original skids work but make snow blowing somewhat difficult. After transitioning to the ARMOR skids I can now glide right over the gaps without a single kick back of the blower catching the gaps/cracks. Totally awesome and makes snow blowing so much more enjoyable (or tolerable :-) ). They are truly built to last and are about 3x the length of the original skids. Great job ARMORskids for producing a well-made useful product. March 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great solution to a Real Problem The plastic skids that came with my club cadet snowblower were slowly wearing down resulting in the slow deterioration of the primary scraper. These heavy-duty skids will clearly extend the lifetime of the scraper. In addition, their design ensures that the snowblower will no longer grab asphalt, concrete or ice elevation changes but rather will glide with the terrain change. Clearly these solve two significant snowblower problems. As for installation, the only way it could have been easier would have been if they were delivered with a human installer. They fit properly, they went on easily and it could not have taken me more than five minutes to put both of them on. December 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Armor skid best replacement skid Replaced craftsman 27 inch snow blower factory skids that didn't last 1 year with Armor skids. Armor skids are a lot thicker and skid surface twice as long as factory skids and they cost less than original factory skids that I have already replaced twice. They were simple to install. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Seem to work well Only used the skids once so far, but they seem to work well. Nice over curbs and humps. I am hopeful that they will last a long time. They are heavy duty compared to the cheap think metal ones that the snowblower came with. February 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The manufacture should have something this sturdy This is exactly what I was looking for to replace the original skids on my craftsman snow thrower. The skids that come with it are very thin and literally wore off in a couple years of minimal use from scrapping on the concrete. These skids are solid, and I could tell as soon as I got them just from their weight they would last. They are also cheaper than the manufacturer's replacement. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Armor heavy duty skids Excellent product purchased to replace my snowblower skids January 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A GREAT PRODUCT I'm a 72 year old woman and cannot get out of my uphill driveway without running the snowblower. Before installing these skids, which was very easy to do, I would pick up 3/4 inch stones, even with the old skids raised as high as they would go, which could result in damage to the blower and makes yard clean up in the spring very difficult. I have already replaced the plastic chute twice due to objects breaking it. With the new skids on, the snowblower glides over the stones easily and I was able to raise the blower higher than with the old skids. I am extremely pleased with this product. January 28, 2014
