If the base unit battery is fully charged, how many times you can boil max. amount (6 cups) of water for tea? What is the capacity (watts) of the rechargeable battery? How many watts does it take to boil 6 cups of water, how many watts does it take to keep the hot water warm for 20 min.? I would like to use it in my RV when it's not hooked up to an outlet or running a generator (dry camping). Currently, I have to boil the liquids on the propane stove while running 12V fan above it and keep 2 windows open - it gets quite hot inside my tiny RV, the fan is noisy, and sometimes the smoke/gas alarm starts "screaming" anyway.

Answer:
Dear MissP.
The Aroma 6-cup kettle is referred to as being cordless because the kettle itself does not have a wire and plug. The base it sits on has the wire and plug. After the water boils, you lift the pot off the base and can bring it to the table. There are no batteries at all. Think of it as boiling a pot of water on the stove and then removing the pot to pour. So, yes, you need to plug the base Read More

Answer:
Dear BLoggingwench,
(Love your handle.)
The inside is stainless steel, except for the plastic windows and the underside of the lid. Also, inside the pot and near the bottom is a plastic rectangular box about 2" x 1" which is covering something. I think the light eminates from there.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great, works well This kettle does everything it is supposed to do. We actually chose it for its looks—one of the few I've seen that isn't ugly. A nice surprise that it also works well. January 10, 2012
