Can you use any pan for this burner?

Just wondering.
Asked by: Milo
we used this to boil water for coffee, make bacon and eggs in a teflon pan. I don't know if product info specifies pot and pan materials that should or should not be used.

Double Burner Diecast Hot Plate is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Aroma DB Hot Plate Cooks This 2-burner hot plate is sturdy and compact. Fits well into a small space. Cooks at a high capacity like a stove top. Since I have had it, I have cooked beef stew, vegetable soup, turkey wings, etc. It is a great survival piece of cookware.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great price With no stove in the home we just purchased, I bought the Aroma 2-burner hot plate to fill in for a while. I have used it for about 2 months I used a gas cooktop for the last 30 years, so using electric is an adjustment for me. The unit is easy to clean, takes minimal space and has 4 settings for each burner. I like that it has 2 burners and believe it is a good buy for the price. I also considered an induction-type burner, but it was a much higher price and not available as a 2-burner.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Large burner stopped working after 6 weeks of hard use Customer service was great though. Nice guy on the phone sent me a new one next day to my house at no extra shipping charge So.... happy with the service anyways!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay for the Price Waited a few weeks before reviewing this product. For the price it does the job. We were very skeptical and there is such a selection that even with the good reviews your taking a chance. Its one of those things that you gotta try it yourself. Well, its very light weight and heats up ridiculously fast. My wife and i saw many reviews of people stating that a lot of burners take forever to boil water. We timed it and it took approximately 10 minutes to boil water on high. So it was relatively fast. Its a burner so obviously its limited to begin with. But one, you pay what you get for and for the price we couldn't be happier. Heats up fast, sturdy material (except the little rubber pads at the bottom, one fell out the same day, but nothing i couldn't fix), lightweight compact for a small kitchen, college kid so forth. Good Buy, for not having a stove at the moment. Also, the light indicator is very very light/not clearly visible when its on. You gotta do one of those where you put your hands over the light indicator to cast a shadow/ verify that its really on. Can be a bad thing if you just assume its off and its really on. But common sense would be to always check RIGHT? Just saying, people don't have that much common sense nowadays.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Keum Boo I am using this for Keum Boo a jewelry making process of applying 23 kt gold to silver. It works great and is less expensive that the burners sold by jewelry tool stores.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Kitchenette This is perfect for my downstairs kitchenette. Takes a bit longer to heat up than your average electric stove, but heats thoroughly and is compact enough for small spaces.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing ... Unit will NOT boil water. Testing indicates that after 20 min the unit will get water just to the boiling point and no further. This would be great for HEATING food but NOT for COOKING food. I bought this hoping it would be just like adding a fifth range burner (my range already has four). All four of my range burners can boil water and COOK food. This cannot. If you are looking for something to heat water, soup or the like then this will work fine. Just be patient as it takes 5 minutes to heat up. If you are looking to cook food look elsewhere
