The enclosure is a one piece, ideally you need 2 people to install. My husband did most of the installing but needed help when positioning. Make sure you buy enough liquid nails and a trowel. Also handy are several pieces of wood and curtain rods to let it cured in place.
The shelving is very weak. We filled them before installing the enclosure with foam. Make sure you use little foam as it expands and the shelving can lose its shape.
Overall we are happy with the enclosure, it does what it is supposed to, looks nice, and I hope with the foam in the shelving parts to avoid breakage from use.
Be sure to check the enclosure in the store as the first one was broken but the home depot staff was helpful in ordering a new one.

Item is as described. I wanted a one piece surround to avoid seams. In doing so feel i added a smallbit to installation but effort was worth results. Due to it being one piece suggest two people help put up after checking measurements. It can be trimmed a bit but always check before making holes for shower/tub valves etc. In putting up needed extra planing to hold back wall in place for setting of adhesive. I used 2 x 4 grid. Might suggest small piece of plywood to give a firm flat surface across it. I did take suggestion and used foam in shelf space for added support like other reviews. While I was not expecting a thick piece of surround like on more expensive models this one was ok. Because of one piece construction check alignment carefully before putting hole in it or attaching to wall. I was redoing entire bathroom and used wood to go around outside molding of surround. For price was a good product. I used tin and rough board to finish out trim work.

I had help installing this over the course of 2 days. I followed the installation instructions and glued the back side first, let it set over night, then glued the sides down. Remember to use a notched trowel to spread the glue around evenly, or else you may get some air pockets.
I also took the advise of the person earlier and used the spray foam in the pockets of all the molded shelves. I helped a lot, plus I took a tube of cardboard and cut it in half length-wise and stuck in in those molded pocked before I put the foam in. Whether that helped more is debatable, but I like think it did.
Also, after you cut out the plastic pieces to go over the Styrofoam in the top corners, do yourself a favor and remember to slope them inwards just slightly so as to allow water to run off of there instead of sitting there.
I have attached pics of how I glued the surround

This is a good product if you want a seamless tub surround. It can be difficult to cut out the holes for the handle and spout, etc. but that is really the most time consuming. My project took me 9 bottles of adhesive. You'll want to make sure and have some extra just in case. The rest is really by the instructions. Be careful when handling before install so that you don't crack. Also, I added spray foam in the shelving and they are sturdier now. Be careful not to overfill because then the shelf will round out and be difficult to use.
