I notice that the rear of the shelves are cut at an angle, reducing the width at the very rear.

What are the dimensions of that triangular angle? I need to know this to see if I can place my stereo components side by side. The dimension of that cut out is?? How many inches wide, by how many inches deep?
Asked by: bikerneil
Hello, Thanks for contacting AVF. Here are the dimensions: At the angle, it is 11 1/4" deep and 30 3/8" wide. At the straight sides its 14" deep and 37 1/4" wide. I hope this helps you. Thank you,

This adequately accommodates a 55" flat screen, the receiver, cd player, dvd player and cable box. I love the design, the sturdy metal frame and sturdy glass shelves. Love the holes in back to run the wires so it doesn't look messy. The only thing I would improve on the design is to make the unit 2 or 3 inches deeper and an inch or two higher to better accommodate the larger components like the tall receiver I have. But it all works fine and there's just enough room for the receiver to "breathe" on top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Compact Corner TV Stand This is a nice and compact tv floor stand which is made of powder coated metal with glass shelves. I use a 50" LED TV and the width of the stand was ideal. I'm not sure if this will work with a 55" TV though, since my TV legs were at the outer edge of the stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Looking TV Stand This TV stand looks great, is made of glossy black steel and tinted tempered glass. It will only work on flat screen TV's, since it isn't very deep. This TV stand was delivered to me in a nice, well made cardboard box. Upon opening the box, all items were safely packaged and labeled. The installation is only 4 steps and does not require any additional tools or supplies (allen wrench comes with the stand). Even the small parts are labeled and each type in an individual pouch - very nice touch. If you are a bit of a perfectionist, you should have a level and ruler or measuring tape too. The unit I received is from AVF Group Ltd. of England and is a Vico model FS1050VIB 463862 (rev 00). The list of Do not's and Do's is interesting and well written - I recommend reading them. I inventoried the parts to make sure nothing was missing - everything was there. Here are my notes on the assembly: Step 1: Everything went together well, except parts C and D have been interchanged (the illustration is incorrect and does not match the parts list drawings). This was only a minor problem, since I was able to look at the picture of the finished stand and figure out the mistake. My recommendation is to fully tighten the I screws and to align the top of C and D with the top of A. Also, make sure C and D fit tight against the side of A. I recommend tightening the H screws just finger tight, since you will need to maneuver the parts a little in the next step. Step 2: The drawing doesn't show the front/back or top/bottom of part E, so I'll give some advice. The plastic bezels should have the part with the ring facing toward A, since this is the side you'll see. The top/bottom orientation is pretty easy also. The top edge has a shorter distance from the edge to the first screw hole. The bottom edge has feet attached. So, the top edge of the assembly from Step 1 is the wider part of C and D. The bottom is where C and D taper and also there are feet installed. You will need to gently position the posts (part B), so the screw holes in E are aligned. Be careful not to scratch the front of part E as you are moving the posts. Before snugging down the H and K screws, I placed the unit on it's feet and I used a level (I supplied it) to make sure everything was both level and plumb. This isn't required, but I like things to be this way. Step 3: This is easy. The rubber L pieces just need to be stuck on the unit. I measured the distance from the sides and back, so they would be consistent. I held each piece down (tightly) for 30 seconds to insure that the glue adhered. Step 4: Install the glass. I put the glass on with the tempered glass sticker facing up. When installing the shelves (part F), I recommend tilting the back side up while sliding it in place. Then move the glass forward, then lower the back. It goes in much better this way. And voila! All done in about 15 minutes or so. You now have a great looking flat screen TV stand with room for a DVD player and receiver or cable box.
