I think I saw in a review that brackets did not come with the product. Is this true? If not, where do I order?

Answer:
This isn't true. It will come with "Z" brackets it won't come with the hardware to install the bracket to your surface. The reason for this is there are many surfaces types for buildings. Our manual will tell you which type of anchors or screws you'll need for your particular surface though.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Awning, but poor QC Once properly assembled and mounted, it does look good and seems very strong, which it better be as where I live, we can count on 1+ foot snows followed by rain at least once a season. On a 40-inch awning, that can amount to several hundred pounds of wet snow that needs to be supported. However, there were Quality Control issues with the awning I received. The awning uses 1-inch aluminum channel and is strong yet light weight. The channel pieces are joined using plastic inserts through which self-tapping screws are inserted through holes in the aluminum channel side walls. When assembled, it seems very strong yet my 40-inchwide awning probably weighs 20 pounds or so. The downside was that the quality control was poor. The aluminum channel had a lot of burrs, so I needed to clean them up with my deburring tool in order to get the plastic joint inserts to be able to enter the channel. Most annoying, was that in my installation, eight (8) of the through holes in the aluminum channel side walls were missing, although one could see where a factory worker had marked for them to be drilled. They simply forgot to drill about half of them. Since many of the joints are under tension (as opposed to compression or shear) when the awning is hung, if someone put the unit together without drilling the missing holes and putting the screws in them, the unit would have fallen apart upon being mounted to the building. So Awntech needs to beef up their QC inspections. July 22, 2014
