Customer Reviews

New Orleans Collection 3-Light Burled Walnut Outdoor Wall-Mount Light Fixture is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big and Bold Ordered three of these. First, I think we were lucky that they arrived mostly undamaged. The styrofoam packing was a bit thin and several foam pieces were broken and crushed, but the lamps were unharmed except for a few scratches on one lamp (we sent it back for replacement). Installation was more difficult than expected because of the mounting bracket design and the too-short ground wire (an extra jumper wire would have been useful), plus a couple screws were missing. Instructions were poorly written, so good luck to you if you don't really know what you're doing. A couple screws were actually a bit too long, so I was unable to flush mount the lamp against the wall. But two of the lamps went up without too much trouble (if you've got three hands, it shouldn't cause you too much grief), so all the defective stuff went into the box with the scratched lamp and returned it to my local store. The replacement worked well, though. And where do those two tiny rubber washers go? Instructions weren't clear, so I put them on top, then I bought two more and put them on the mounting posts. Rubber washers everywhere now, and the install feels more secure. Caulk all the way around really ties it down. The finials are a bit odd because the threads aren't particularly well defined. You've got to get the threaded post way in there before it gets a secure bite. The top finial holds the upper scrollwork in place. Oh, and there is a small amount of assembly required, despite the description that states "pre-assembled for easy installation." Now that they're up, they look good, they're fairly large (wouldn't want any bigger for sure), and my wife loves them so we're all happy. If I could change anything, it would be the mounting hardware and maybe a little door on the side so I could easily change bulbs as required.
