CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product at a Great Price I had been considering buying a powerline adapter like this one; 500 Mbps, for a while. I had been using two other powerline adapters, one 85 Mbps and the other 200 Mbps. I immediately observed the improvement in speed after installing this product. In addition, this adapter is smaller than the older ones I have, and therefore takes up less space on the outlets. Another plus, the very reasonable price. January 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Plug and Play Perfection When I found my home Wi-Fi network suddenly knocked back to a fraction of its previous range, I considered a lot of options to restore connectivity with some remote speakers in my bedroom. Given the idiosyncrasies of my house's construction simply running ethernet cabling would have been a nightmare. (You know that running things internally is a bear when the cable line goes from the basement, through the window foundation, up the outside of the house, and then in through a bedroom window foundation to get cable service to the second floor.) I'm sure it could have been done, but I would have been looking at $100 + of labor and parts cost. Using the cable coax was a possibility I considered, but for a number of reasons I couldn't test it, and the cable networking devices I could find were all much more expensive than these units. In the end I went with these powerline network modules, and have found them to be working ideally for me. It helped that I'd already taken care of setting up the remote device to recognize the network when it managed to get reconnected, but since I'd had that done already - it really was a simple as plugging in one of these near my cable router and connecting it to one of the spare ethernet ports there, then plugging in the other of these near the remote device I wanted to operate, and making that connection with the supplied ethernet cabling. One of the easiest networking tasks I've tried, and working very well for me over the past week since I got it installed. One thing that wasn't clear from the Home Depot listing for this product: The box comes with two powerline to ethernet connectors/adapters AND two short (three or six foot) ethernet cables, so no further materials are required to connect a single device to your home powerline network. Once the home powerline network is established this box would allow for two more components to be added to the network. February 18, 2014
