I checked these out at my local HD and found that each recorded a different temperature. Shame on who made these thermometers, shame on the HD buyer of these thermometers.

This thermometer can't provide you with an accurate temperature reading - high or low. It was in the single digits here last week and my thermometer seemed to think it was 60 degrees. Skip this one and save your money for a thermometer that actually works.

I was using it outside and I don't think it ever registered below 75 degrees, even in winter. There is no way to calibrate it either. You get what you pay for I guess and in this case I paid for a frisbee.

The temp here is 55 degrees according to the weather station. This crazy thermometer is dead on 100!! (It is doing better than a day ago when it was indicating 120 degrees!) This is a replacement the company provided after the one I bought did the same thing. If you want a thermometer that will drive you batty, buy this one by all means!

Excellent value. Accurate, easy to read, not too large.

I actually use this thermometer in the freezer and guaged it against a digital thermometer. This thermometer was right on the mark. It's really accurate and you can't beat the price. When I bought it in the store, I looked at about 5 of them on the shelf. They all had the same temperature. That's a pretty good test.

It is actually 93 degrees here right now according to 2 different reporting stations. This thermometer is reading 104 degrees in the shade.
