Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by to be returned The suction did not stay on the window for more than a few minutes. The temp. showed 47 degrees when in actuality it was 30 degrees. Also, the product was hard to read unless it is daylight. February 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quite Possibly the Best Thermometer EVER!!! I've owned this thermometer for 1.5 years in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. It has been stuck to the outside of my sliding glass door for the entire time. The battery continues to work, the thermometer continues to work, and, most surprisingly of all, the suction cup continues to hold it to the door through 90+ degree temperatures and all the way down to -20 degree temperatures with wind chills in the -50 degree range. The only complaint I have is that when the temps drop below zero, the thermometer reads LO, which is true, and funny, but it doesn't display the actual temperature. Apparently it wasn't designed with Minnesota in mind. The best feature seems to be the suction cup, since it can hold through the wide range of temperatures and continues to hold despite frequent jostling when the door opens and closes. I placed it directly behind the handle of the door so my young kids would be less likely to touch it, because the door slides against another door, and because I fully expected it to fall off and hit the deck and wanted to reduce the distance between it and the deck to prevent breaking. Although this is the best feature, I'm pretty impressed by the battery as well, since it has held up under the same conditions for the same amount of time. As for the appearance, the device looks great too. However, since it's clear, reading the thermometer can be challenging unless you're looking directly at the device in the day time. It's more difficult to read it at night, because the numbers are black and so is the background, since it's a clear device. I would highly recommend the product I purchased for the price I paid at Home Depot ($7.99). Perhaps I received the only good one, which doesn't seem likely, since that's not how much luck generally runs, but, if so, then I'm eternally grateful. January 23, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Bought this to replace an old thermometer that looked similar but the suction cup broke on it. #1 - I don't think it's accurate. Seems to report the temp is a few degrees warmer than it actually is. #2 - You can only see the temperature during the day when there is light shining behind it. At night the display is unreadable, even shining a flashlight on it does not work. Lesson learned: should have just bought a new suction cup and fixed the old thermometer the way my grandfather would have done. February 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lets you know how to dress! I like this thermometer because I can look outside and know what the temperature is in order to know what to wear! The only problem I had was that I got it wet and it no longer works, so I have to get a new one. November 16, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far great Numbers are easy to read. Easy to use. I have had it for a month now temps from 30'F to 70's and it has been in the rain. Hard to read at night it needs backlight so the black LCD numbers can be seen. April 17, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Will return it I placed it next to another unit and it always reads 2-3 degree to high. You can only see the numbers if there is a light background like snow or other. If the background is slightly dark like trees, bushes or grass, it is impossible to see the numbers. I will return the unit. February 22, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not wireless unless you count a suction cup on a window I bought this as it was listed as wireless. I needed it to report the temp in my attic. Well, it is a single unit that you stick on the outside of a window. It is wireless alright, but not electronic. After doing an in-store pickup, I returned it at the cust service desk. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good while it lasted. Kind of disapointed with the performance of this product. While at 8 dollars my expectations were not real high even i was disapointed when the display began to fail after about a week. I will return it next time i am close to the store. June 22, 2012
