I bought two identical floor lamps with reading lights and am very pleased with them. They assembled quickly and easily. A nice feature is the two lights in the top of the lamp that shine upward. Having two lights allows for using different wattage bulbs or only one bulb in the top to get the amount of light you want. (The light does not have a dimmer switch.) The reading light is a handy adjustable feature. The shades of the lamp are plastic, not glass, but of high enough quality that you can not tell they are not glass from a distance. The lamp is an excellent value.

I got this floor lamp to use while sewing. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to assemble. It is in 3 basic pieces. You screw them together. You have to pull gently on the electrical cord that will be plugged into the wall. This makes the unit sturdy, then you just add lights I used a 2 pak of Philips LED 12.5 watt bulbs, with an A shape medium base. Now I not only have a nice looking, bright light, but I am saving energy. I am getting another one of these lights. With two of them I can take great pictures of things I want to sell on E-bay.

Nice bright lights what we needed for the area, but didn't realize lenses are plastic, not glass. Thin, but give the look of glass. The pole doesn't sit perfectly straight, and the base is light, so if you touch the lamp, it tends to lean/move easily. Doesn't help to try to shore it up with a piece of wood underneath. Ours sits on carpet. Maybe better on linoleum or tile? Just don't touch it much, except to turn it on. The three way switch is nice. .

OK, it's not beautiful. It's not hideous either. The main issue I have with this lamp is that when I assembled it, the bottom screw-in joint where you assemble the main pole would not screw in all the way. I can look over my shoulder right now and see the exposed threads from across the room. But it's purely cosmetic, and from a functional standpoint the lamp is fine. It gives good bright light, and the lower, adjustable lamp is very handy. Overall, it's good value for the money.

It should have been easy to assemble but doing it yourself is not easy. The screw in pieces seemed to be poorly machined. Instructions were poor on what to do with all the excess cord. The light itself is great for what I needed. I put in lower wattage bulbs and the lamp still puts out more light than I expected . The plug in cord from the lamp is only about 12 inches long so need to use an extension cord to plug in to outlet. I followed the instructions but have several feet of electrical cord inside the poles. Like I said, the assembly instructions were poor.

Easy to put together. The base is heavy so it isn't sitting on the carpet on a slant. One of the reasons I bought this lamp is that the light switch is located near the reading lamp so it can be reached easily when I am sitting on the couch. The other nice feature is that the switch turns on 3 different lights or all the lights at the same time. It also uses larger bulbs than some similar lamps. The only minus would be that the lamp shades are not glass, but you can't really tell unless you touch the shades.
