Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by PatD Horrible gate kit. Fell over after the first gust of wind!
If I could give 0 stars I would. 3 steps to install, and it will not stay up during the installation. I ended up having to build this on the driveway and haul it to the fence, only to have it fall outward at the first strong gust of wind. Now I have to disassemble the afternoon's worth of work and take this hunk of garbage back to the store. Don't waste your money on this.

Wood screws break when driven. Metal horizontal members do not fit tightly into vertical supports. They provide no support to the gate.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BigAl2 Great for smaller gates
I've used this kit for a 3 foot gate and a 6 foot gate, both 6 feet high wood picket. That covers their width range recommendation.
It works great for a 3 foot gate, very sturdy and doesn't sag after a couple of years.
It does not work as well for the maximum width of 6 feet. It does sag right away and keeps settling.
You can only tighten the gusset cable so much before the frame and S hook attachments start getting overstressed. I think 6 feet is too wide for this design. It's OK, but I would make two 3 foot gates instead.
They need to make the two side rails exactly the same, with the S hook gusset holes the same in both sides. They are the same except for those two holes so they can be mixed up.

Good buy for the cost. Just purchased my 3rd kit. Fairly simple to install but directions could be clearer.

Overall a great well built gate. Rating of 750lbs? No, not true! My only complaint is the Cedar 2x4's do not fit in the slots. But I could see maybe this being designed for redwood? or something a bit thinner?
We bought one of those anti sag gates a year ago, for the back yard, and that one is okay, but this one we installed for the front, and love it so much more!
Fairly easy to build, well built, works well, adjustment is easy! Sturdy design, I love it! We didn't use the hinge with the kit, as we wanted a pass through option to open from either side. Had to trim the cedar boards to be a little thinner to fit the metal, but it worked out great, looks and works great. So much better than the other lesser gate kit! Worth the extra 20 bucks!!!
As for the negative reviews, buy a 1.00 bag of self tapping screws that you like! And it will work great!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ninjamon Good gate kit for the money
Bought 3 of these 2 for my fence gate and one for my deck gate. They hold up better than any other gate kit that I've used only down side is the hardware screws strip easy unless the wood is wet so there is no strain on the screw. But would recommend you buy better screws.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Walt Worked great for me
I bought and installed 2 of these kits to replace different size gates. I ended up using another reviewer's advice and used 3" decking screws. The provided 3" aluminum screws will twist apart. The small screws for the gate stop required tapping threads into the frame because they were too soft to self-thread. The kit is intended to open only inward and can be assembled with no gaps as otherwise mentioned. Any gaps in my gates were deliberate to balance the spacing. I just followed the instructions. Using stained cedar pickets this gate will never have any issues relating to weight.
