Answer:
The gate hardware is a 5/8" dia wood lag bolt for the hinge. So no; but you should be able to find the hinge hardware for metal posts.

The gate comes with two large galvanized lag screws, will not go into a metal post. you would need to get different hinges. not sure how easy that would be.

Answer:
If you purchase standard chain link fence hinges, you could use them instead of the lag screw hinges that come with the gate. We considered doing that ourselves, but eventually just went with wood hinge posts.

Its deffinatly made for wood, but i could see another hinge in the store that could replace the ones it comes with. I hope this gives you some Ideas how to get around the wood Lags provided.

Answer:
5/8" lag bolt for wood / hinge hardware are included, as well as a gate latch and diagonal cable for added support (suggest that you pick up a second small cable clamp as they provide one and it is probably best with 2 cable clamps).

Answer:
Yes the gate comes with a 2 Lag style hinges, which you have to drill holes for. Then you screw the lag in about 2 inches. This style of hinge allows you to adjust the Lag in or out at the top or bottom to make the gate level, or adjust to your opening in case its not flat or level. Hope this helps

Does not come with a drop latch. We put a piece of 2X4 into the frame and attached 2 drop latches for our driveway gate. Works great.

A drop latch? If you want to use a cane bolt to secure the 'inactive' gate to the drive surface, you can likely attach one to the metal frame or the 2x4 horizontal (that you supply).

While horizontal fence boards is not recommended, we have no instructions for such placement, It can be done. You would have to use self-tapping screws. Screw the fence boards into the frame itself. To help extend the height to match the fence itself, you may want to attach a 2x2 or 2x3 piece of wood on the inside of the Adjust-A-Gate frame to match the fence length top and bottom. Again we only recommend manufactures instructions. How the wood boards react to a horizontal placement we do not know. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Gate Hardware. This was a great purchase. I wanted a gate wide enough to drive into the backyard. AdjustaGate hit a homerun with this product. I will definitely buy this again if I need to replace the walkthrough gate on the other side of the house. Very easy to install, its useful if you have a partner to help, but one person could do it alone. check out the pics. May 12, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy Easy instructions and easy steps to make a level strong gate. Used two kits to have a 9' gate opening and it's level looks great. June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Relatively easy to install. This is the second one we have purchased. The first one is 15 years old ad still works well. July 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by These gates should last a very long time. All the parts were of high quality and fit as they should with the exception of the screws. I did not feel they were up to par and used quality replacements for long term durability. Glad I got the contractor series that uses the additional horizontal brace as I'm close to the maximum recommended width. June 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Strong frame Good product, stronger than expected, Easy install May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid product We used two kits together for a driveway gate. It took us a day and a half to get the gate up, only because we put it up before realizing our posts were tilted and had to take it down and put it up again - not the gate kit's fault. My advice is to use a level to get the gate straight and not just measure equally from the posts. September 8, 2015
