Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Snuffy Nice looking unit with one small problem
Putting the unit together I found that the assembly people put the rivet holding the wheel plates on each side in the wrong location. I had to drill them out to assemble the bracing bars properly. I filled the then open hole with a bolt nut and washer. I have not used the unit as of this writing, but it looks like a very well built unit and should do the job very well. Note using the unit yet is the reason ease of use and value are rated good and not excellent.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mags71 pleased with drop spreader
outer packing was coming loose, but everything was there except for a washer and the carriage bolt which I was able to pick up at Ace Hardware. It was a bit cumbersome to put together by myself, but I managed. I used it this week for first time and it did a great job.

This spreader really does the job. I purchased it to spread pulverized lime on my lawn.
Only a drop spreader can do this as it packs up in the other type spreaders and will not
spread. This spreader is well made. It took about 2 hours to assemble. It is big and wide
so you have to be careful in close quarters when towing it. I purchased it on line from home
Depot and picked it up at the store. It is a lot of spreader for the money.

Easy to assemble. Make sure you follow instructions to the "T" and adjust flow gate accordingly. I question longevity of the metal agitator against rusting from fertilizer even with washing out hopper after each use. You have to even out amount of material on each side of center hopper brace. I still think agrifab has a good product.

The spreader was manufactured backward. The mechanism for adjusting flow was on the wrong side. The spreader could only be put together one way. The manufacturer wasted my time just because they did not check this in production. The question is how many more are out there? Good luck!

Thus would have been a 5 star purchase except for the fact that the polymer hopper was assembled partially backwards. the middle bracket inside the hopper was riveted on the wrong side. The center brace that attaches to the tongue could not be fastened until the fasteners were removed and new fasteners installed on the opposite side. This took about 30 minutes and some new fasteners. (I live a long way from the nearest Home depot).

Some assembly required, but all the parts were there and the directions were clear enough to follow so it went together pretty smoothly.
As a single-use piece of equipment it really doesn't have a lot of features, but it was fairly easy to control the rate of flow on a couple bags of "weed and feed." Covered about 1/3rd an acre of uneven ground without minimum fuss and clean-up was painless.
