I recently bought my 2nd mow-n-vac. My first one lasted over 14 years and was great. The new one has a better fan with better suction;however I am very disappointed in the cart. It is much flimsier than the old one. The back door blew off 3 times with the cart being only half full. The metal is much thinner than the old one and deforms under load. The screen on top is not secured as well as the old one and leaves get around it. I have to run the engine at half speed and drive slow to get a full load.

I have 2 acres with Oak, Pine and Magnolia trees. I have been using the lawnmower to throw the leaves and needles into a pile and then raking them into my tractor bucket to take to my compost pile.
Last fall there were 3 piles of them that I didn't get around to picking up. They were wet and compacted. Using my new Mow-N-Vac (delivered 7-9-14) and my Zero-Turn Mower I ran over the piles and picked them, I also used the Hand Held Hose in areas that I could not easily drive.
The machine really picks up well and between the tractor mulching and the blower I have fine ground mulch!
If I were to change anything I would add a bracket for the hose when transporting and maybe a rack for a rake. The mulch packs so fine that you need to help it dump with a rake.
I'm very happy with the Vac!

Machine was purchased in 2001 by myself and my brother in law to mow and vacuum our two lawns of approx. 2.5 acres. Machine was used mainly in the fall to gather fallen leaves for mulch for garden use.

The concept and materials seem good for this agri-vac, the problem is it seems very little thought went into the design. The way the motor and vac is mounted is flimsy, needs gussets supports welded in etc. The axle is about an inch too long requires washers to prevent excess slop in wheels. The material that surrounds the vac dump to the box has already worn out after two uses. Lastly this thing is heavy and needs to be equipped with a tounge jack, I have to use my floor jack to move the thing around my garage and get it lined up with the mower. So far I am not impressed with this product, could be much better with a few little tweaks.

I have owned my chip n vac for over 10 years and it has been a great machine. I have only done normal maint. on it in this time and i have given it a work out.
I live in south east Ga. and we have very sandy soil I have only replaced my impeller once in ten years. Great product!!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jim55 Fell Apart!!!
I bought the mow-n-vac in the spring of 2013, it completely fell apart in on 05 April 2014. All of the fasteners that hold the hopper to the axle rusted and the hopper fell off the first time I used it in 2014!!
Very poor workmanship!!!

I have used my unit for 5 years. bought it used I believe it was made 2004. As others have said it is heavy WITH MOST WEIGHT on tongue. The motor and shredder unit is off center resulting torqueing of the tongue. The door on back is very heavy rubber composite and straps very strong. There must have been product changes as this unit has been used hard with little wear. Overall the design is average / I added a screwjack to front tongue to offset weight. Makes lot easier to move and hook up. Chute works well with both crafsman and cub cadet mowers. Recommend using with 19 hp or larger mower models. Also modified hose attachment with bungee to keep attached. Never use dump feature / simpler to simply use tarp and pull load out. Larger garden tractors work better as hitch is heavier for weight of unit .. Biggest drawback is weight/ not performance. I don't know how newer models are built , but this model is rugged, just not the best design. I am using on 3 + acres with many trees.

Great machine, solid, well-built. I don't care for the generic mower deck attachment that has to be cut to fit your particular mower deck but there aren't any other options. Make sure you watch the installation video from agri-fab. It's on their website and it's very useful for putting this together
