Bought the spreader to use for fertilizing my food plots. Assembly was fairly easy. Illustrations sufficient to assemble it in about 15 minutes. The assembled product seems solid, the wheels and handle are a huge improvement over standard yard spreaders. Our soil is very sandy. I fertilized one food plot after completing the discing and planting. The unit was difficult to push through the sand, even with the larger wheels when loaded with 50 lbs of fertilizer. That might just be an issue with our soil in Florida. The spreader performed well on my other food plots when using it before I plowed. The spread pattern gave me solid coverage, just over 10 feet wide per pass. No loose or stressed joints after finishing 4 acres. I will update my review after planting fall food plots.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by AJ Good spreader, poor quality control and customer service at company
Spreader arrived with open parts bag and parts strewn around inside box. Assembly was manageable with pics, though they'e in an unusual order of presentation, but I was missing four parts. I called the company and described the problem. The rep was totally cold and simply took my part numbers, there was no acknowledgement of the issue or apology for the inconvenience. I inquired about expedited shipping and was told the parts would be expedited out of the warehouse, but go regular post from there. Four days later I had my parts, which isn't bad for normal shipping, but delayed the job that the spreader was purchased for. Once assembly was completed, the spreader works fine and easily traverses the lawn at nearly full weight.

SmartSpreader 130 lb. Push Broadcast Spreader was more money than the Scotts spreader, but after reading the reviews, I'm glad I went with the SmartSpreader

Certainly a big step up from the awful Scotts and other cheap consumer spreaders. Rugged and handles rough terrain well. Assembly: some say it's tough. It is a bit complicated. The photos are good but it would benefit from detailed instructions. I finished and found that I had a leftover part that should have been installed early on in the process. Managed to jury-rig it into place but detailed instructions would have prevented this oversight.

This baby rocks! We salted our small parking lot and sidewalks by hand. The technique left clumps of unspread salt along with some missed black ice spots. Then, along came the AGRI-FAB Spreader. WOW!!! It spreads an even 10 ft wide path of salt in a very uniforn fashion. E Z flow adjuster for light to heavy coverage and a very large discharge port for larger volumes of salt if so desired. This ain't your daddys fertilizer spreader! Price was a bit steep but its well worth the savings of time and product. Thanks Agri Fab and Home Depot. Item was shipped and received within three days and e z to assemble.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GMC1611 I should have purchased this last winter
what an asset this spreader is! I am the building manager of a large church in Montclair New Jersey. My responsibilities include clearing of snow and ice from a large expanse of sidewalk and a very long private driveway. This spreader has allowed me to cut my labor and material by almost half. The hopper holds 3 bags at 50 pounds each and remains maneuverable and easy to push. I should have bought this last year!

I just bought this to spread salt this winter. Happily it is still in the 50's even though it's December 15!
Assembly was straight forward and relatively easy. I rated it at 4 stars because I haven't had the opportunity to see how it works... but I'm very optimistic.
