We installed this about a year ago in a renovated small bathroom, and have been very pleased with its sleek modern design and fairly quiet fan - a great value! HOW TO CHANGE LIGHT BULB: Press inward on the sides of the translucent cover over the bulb, and the cover will come off easily. It only takes 1 person to change the light bulb. :)

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Albert Works as expected so far
It was installed two weeks ago and works as expected so far. Too early to comment on durability. Lamp-and-Fan-in- one replaces the previous lamp-set in one location -- no extra hole to dig in the ceiling.
The rated 1.5 sones unit that I have is a bit noisy to me.
The GU24 bulb used is not a popular type to be maintained.
Though no one mentioned this, but make sure your bathroom door bottom has enough gap to allow the needed fresh air to come in to ensure the best air flow efficiency.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alvin Great Value Vent Fan!
Great fan and light. Why doesn't Home Depot carry this line in their stores? Fan is quiet and light is perfect for the shower. At first I was concerned about the plastic housing, but actually it is very well engineered and manufactured. Installation is simple and straightforward. I sired fan and light separate which required 14/3 wire from double switch to fan unit. The fan volume is perfect for our large bathroom. Any larger and there would be a draft inside the shower. Time will tell about longevity, but so far I'm impressed! Excellent value!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Randy More difficult than advertised
I imagine this would easy to install in new construction, however not so as a replacement item. Removing the old unit takes time and patience, but that's no reflection on the new unit. Box says installs in 5 minutes - if you believe that, you deserve this purchase. Hole cutout must be substantially larger than the box dimensions since it must be installed at an angle to account for the exhaust neck on one end and clearance to get past bracket on the other. You'll need to get up in the attic several times to ensure the unit engages on the bracket - just won't snap in from down below. The cover isn't big enough to cover up the cutout on one side, so be prepared to do some mudwork. I installed two of these in second story baths, but am reluctant to even try the first floor bath since there's no attic space to complete the job. On a positive note - much quieter than builder's grade exhaust fans (4-sones).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Exactly What I Wanted!
After reading the reviews, we ordered online because they were not carried in the store. We purchased two to replace an original exhaust fan (40 yrs old) and a newer one that had quit working. The contractor said they were easy to install. They look great and are very quiet. I especially like the light. It is not super bright, so don't expect it to take the place of your main lighting, but it does a good job. We often shower with just this light on and it gives a soft glow to the room; perfect for those mornings you don't want a 200 watt glare to jar you awake. I measured before I ordered and these are a tad larger than required. My husband doesn't think the draw is as strong as our last ones (they were huge, maybe for a bathroom 3x our size), but I wonder if he might be equating the louder noise with more drawing power. All in all, we love the new fans.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 1959rancher A good purchase
This was a great improvement over the original 1959 model it replaced. It is quiet and gives enough light.
I still get steam on the bathroom mirror but we have a mid-century ranch with low(7.5') ceilings and even lower ceiling in the shower enclosure. I am still satisfied with the product and am sure it would work even better with standard size ceilings.

I bought this fan to replace an older loud fan. This fan needed a bigger hole but I knew that before I bought it; it's easy to create a bigger hole harder to make a smaller hole! This fan is not feature packed but it is quiet and moves enough air that our bathroom mirror doesn’t even have steam after a short shower (longer showers are cleared a few minutes after you turn the water off). I was so impressed by the quietness and effectiveness that I plan to buy another one for our other bathroom.

Yes it's quiet. But I suspect that's because it's not moving as much air as claimed. It does not do as good a job as the 35-year-old fan it replaced. Before it wore out the old fan (also rated 70 CFM) would keep the mirrors clear during a shower. This one does not. It also uses GU24 bulbs that are expensive to replace. For the money I expected better.
