Chose this fan for our bathroom remodel because of it's performance and capacity. The light was important as well. It was easy to install with the enclosed instructions.

Will be disassembling this and returning to the store. Total waste of time and money spent. Our previous fan was much better and was many years older. Took my husband 2.5 hours to install with several trips into the attic - not a simple install to replace a current fan. Tested with the tissue and it doesn't hold it. Son took a shower this morning, and there's condensation on all the walls and ceiling. Ugh!!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ronaldi Bathroom fan installed and working.
Was able to install this product without going into my small, uncomfortable attic.
It's working fine and doing the job. I have a couple recommendations for the
1. Include a template to determine the size of the hole in the ceiling.
2. Make the screw hole used to attach the bottom portion a long oval
so the plastic portion can be attached off center if necessary. I drilled
a second hole to accommodate this feature.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Randy More difficult than advertised
I imagine this would easy to install in new construction, however not so as a replacement item. Removing the old unit takes time and patience, but that's no reflection on the new unit. Box says installs in 5 minutes - if you believe that, you deserve this purchase. Hole cutout must be substantially larger than the box dimensions since it must be installed at an angle to account for the exhaust neck on one end and clearance to get past bracket on the other. You'll need to get up in the attic several times to ensure the unit engages on the bracket - just won't snap in from down below. The cover isn't big enough to cover up the cutout on one side, so be prepared to do some mudwork. I installed two of these in second story baths, but am reluctant to even try the first floor bath since there's no attic space to complete the job. On a positive note - much quieter than builder's grade exhaust fans (4-sones).

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DIYman Not good for upgrades
Might be OK for a new install, but the all-plastic body, non-standard layout and poorly designed mount made for a difficult upgrade. Forget installing it from below. I had to add extra bracing to keep it from sagging.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alvin Great Value Vent Fan!
Great fan and light. Why doesn't Home Depot carry this line in their stores? Fan is quiet and light is perfect for the shower. At first I was concerned about the plastic housing, but actually it is very well engineered and manufactured. Installation is simple and straightforward. I sired fan and light separate which required 14/3 wire from double switch to fan unit. The fan volume is perfect for our large bathroom. Any larger and there would be a draft inside the shower. Time will tell about longevity, but so far I'm impressed! Excellent value!

Great price, very quiet did the job but only lasted one month and fan quit. Returned for same model. Hope it was just a defect.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Albert Works as expected so far
It was installed two weeks ago and works as expected so far. Too early to comment on durability. Lamp-and-Fan-in- one replaces the previous lamp-set in one location -- no extra hole to dig in the ceiling.
The rated 1.5 sones unit that I have is a bit noisy to me.
The GU24 bulb used is not a popular type to be maintained.
Though no one mentioned this, but make sure your bathroom door bottom has enough gap to allow the needed fresh air to come in to ensure the best air flow efficiency.
