Had a professional install it in our master bathroom. It is very powerful and clears out the steam from the shower quickly. It was whisper-quiet the first day but I think it may need an adjustment or some sort of insulation in the attic since I am now hearing a whirring noise. Not as loud as most units, but not as quiet as it was originally. Even so, it is a great addition to our bathroom and does the job.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Emilio Very satisfied. Moves a lot of air, quietly.
I replaced a noisy 50 CFM fan with this, almost silent, 100 CFM in a reasonable amount of time.....not too difficult with average skills and tools.

You have to listen hard to hear it running. Doesn't move enough air quick enough, should have bought a 200 cfm. Very hard to get wiring back into super tiny space. Installed fairly easy but it's taller than my attic 2x8 joist, still trying to figure out a workaround to deck above.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Robr63187 Does the Job Without Too Much Noise
I bought this fan as a replacement for an (obsolete) AK-90 fan - its internal parts slip right into the installed case from the old fan, so I didn't have to mess with attic insulation and resizing the hole in the ceiling. It works about the same as the old fan, but it seems to me that it is just a little bit noisier than the old one. All in all, it's adequate for the job, and the ability to just swap out the fan and motor without having to mess with the housing and ducting make it a real winner as a replacement.
For a new installation or model change, I'd rate this fan as OK but nothing special. But if you need to replace a worn out Air King fan, the interchangeability of the units makes them a great choice.

this low sone fan is great. don't bother with the 4 sone fans unless you want to hear a truck running everytime you turn on the fan
