We have three large oak trees which drop thousands of acorns every three years (we call it the "acorn apocalypse" when it happens). Curious if the brushes will pick up the fairly heavy acorns?

YEP, but don't overload it our you will need help lifting by hand as the rope won't do the job on heavy loads. Be sure to adjust the height setting if it won't pick up. I found at the lowest setting to the ground is not very useful as to much bending of the brush bends making it miss lots of stuff.

I think it might. If you set the setting to where the brushes are close to the ground. I know it picks up small twigs and have never actually tried larger twigs or branches, but acorns are pretty harmless. I would say it DOES pick them up with a couple of sweeps and you would have to empty it before it gets too heavy.

How well does it work on uneven and sloping ground. My yard is in the foothills and has a 10-15 degree slope in some places.

Worked really well on slopes, if your tractor has the power to pull it fully loaded up hill you shouldn't have a problem.

My pine needles were on a slope, but not 10-15 degrees...more like 5-7 degrees. In addition, the ground here is a bit uneven and bumpy in this area, but it did a great job.

I have had do issues with the sweeper on steeper grades. I have never experienced a problem or even a perceived problem with it turning over and after several uses doubt there will be a problem.

Hi Scott,
As long as your mower/lawn tractor can safely mow on the slope then you should be able to tow the lawn sweeper. However, due to the added drag and towing weight it may be more difficult to go straight up a slope, if at all. If you can, it would be best to safely sweep along the side of the slope instead of down or up the slope.

The sweeper only picks up debris that the sweeper brushes can reach. If your yard has a slow rolling "up and down" terrain the sweeper should work fine. Read Less

Yes. It sure does... you have to take out some tension rods, some quick release pins and press some snap buttons. Not something I would want to do daily but at end of season or long periods of no use.

We have a smaller yard, but the neighbor's leaves blow into ours constantly. Will this suck up the leaves? We have a Kubota tractor (with a hilarious custom paint job) that we won that will easily handle this product if it works. Thanks

Answer:
Yes, gets most but not all of the leaves. This thing has a nylon brush that spins as you tow it so whatever the brush picks up goes into hopper. I would think that wet leaves plastered to the ground would be a problem.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I don't think I've ever bought a mechanical thing that worked as well as advertised. Assembly was easy, with only one thing I needed to undo and redo because I did it backwards (and I caught it right away), and it works so well that you'll hit yourself for doing whatever you did before to get rid of leaves and grass and small other things. At least with a 42-inch Cub Cadet it doesn't back up without jackknifing but besides that it's fine. October 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lawn sweeper Works great. I put it together by myself in a short time October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works good but customer service? Used the sweeper 3 times works as it should. When I was assembling I called customer service and never got a response that was 3 weeks ago October 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Picks up leaf, pine needles and even a little thatch. Great for the money - only thing I wish it could do a little better was acorns, mostly due to the bumper crop this year. I would say it picks up 95% of leaf waste 90% of pine needles 95% pine cones 45% acorns. and 30% of thatch (added benefit) Holds plenty of waste - more than I can reasonable fold over to dump. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Better Instructions would have been nice. Haven't used it yet, but have put it together. A few words of explanation would have been nice. It is sturdy and well designed and I expect it to perform well. September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by heavy built,,works great! easy to assemble, didn't like the pins that held the hopper on(real lose) I used bolts and nuts of my own(that's just me). I pull it with a zero turn mower works wonderful. September 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by time will tell a little hard to understand the instructions to assemble but overall I think it is going to be a worthwhile purchase September 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 50 in Lawn Sweeper Great piece of lawn equipment Easy assembly. Sturdy..I use it on my yard and horse pastures Easy dump but dump cord slips through hand so I put knots in cord for easier grasp September 10, 2016
