Product Overview

The AllFitHD Lawn Sweeper features an industry leading super capacity 26 cu. ft. heavy duty collector bag and an extra wide 50 in. sweeping path allowing you to get your lawn care done faster than ever. Exclusive patented spiral brush sweeps more efficiently than standard sweepers and puts less stress on gears for longer life. No-slip positive lock height adjustment will not vibrate out of position and has easy to remember height settings. Hopper easily empties by pulling rope from the seat of your tractor. Just reverse to debris or compost area, pull the rope and you're done. Extra wide 9 in. chute is less likely to clog, especially when sweeping damp grass clippings that clump together. 3-position hitch adjustment allows for efficient level operation with any tractor hitch height without the use of easy to lose spacer rings. AllFitHD attachments are manufactured by Ohio Steel, who for over 50 years has manufactured high-quality, innovative tractor and ATV attachments that help get the job done faster and with less effort.

Customer Questions & Answers

Does this pick up leaves or just grass clippings?

We have a smaller yard, but the neighbor's leaves blow into ours constantly. Will this suck up the leaves? We have a Kubota tractor (with a hilarious custom paint job) that we won that will easily handle this product if it works. Thanks
Asked by: Mark
yes, this is awesome for picking up leaves, some small cones and even the silt if you have a build up from rains. This pic attached is from one run over the leaves.

Will this sweeper pick up acorns?

We have three large oak trees which drop thousands of acorns every three years (we call it the "acorn apocalypse" when it happens). Curious if the brushes will pick up the fairly heavy acorns?
Asked by: aliensporez
It picks up some acorns but will miss just as many.

How does it dump the grass and leaves? Do you have to pull a cord.
Asked by: Fred
There is a pull cord. It works well enough, as long as you don't pick up too many wet leaves.

Undulations and depressions will cause it to work less well but that is the nature of any sweeper, not just this one. It also seems to be built tough, much tougher than the one it is replacing (Brinley). There are a few "design shortcomings" that could be better but are minor issues one of which is modifiable by the end user to correct. The non user correctable issues are the hopper opening is a little low at the top and a fair amount (looks like 10-15% to me) of leaf material hits it like a ramp and flies over the back instead of going in the hopper. Grass did much better. If the rod was maybe 2-3 inches higher it would probably perform better with leaves. The correctable issue it this, too much of this is held together by "pins". While the cross rod above the hopper will probably survive the life of the unit with just the supplied pins, I would replace the mfg. supplied pins at the bottom of the hopper with at least a cotter-style pin that can be more permanently attached. I say this because in the first 30 minutes of use, mine threw a pin (that is now somewhere in my yard waiting to puncture a tire on my lawnmower) along with the 3/8" button it was holding. I ended up replacing both sides with a 3/8" bolt and a nylon lock nut. One note, if you use the bolt and lock nut solution, do not tighten it fully as the oem button and pin setup allowed it to pivot freely. Make sure you leave it loose enough to pivot after using the lock nut fix. Had I not lost the button, I would have probably replaced the supplied pins with cottters and used the supplied button. The supplied connection pin used to attach the sweeper to your tow vehicle also bounces up and down enough that when using the lower two connections, it did come unhitched a time or two on me but did not bounce all the way out nor did I lose the pin. This can be fixed easily with a drill press and pin hole in the bottom of the connecting pin or just a rubber band if desired. I have only used it a few hours so far but am quite satisfied with the performance of the unit fulfilling its purpose. To me as a long time DIY handyman, the design flaws are a minor annoyance. To a consumer not familiar or comfortable with field modifications, they might be more concerning. I attached photos of both issues with the fix at the end of the review.

I don't think I've ever bought a mechanical thing that worked as well as advertised. Assembly was easy, with only one thing I needed to undo and redo because I did it backwards (and I caught it right away), and it works so well that you'll hit yourself for doing whatever you did before to get rid of leaves and grass and small other things. At least with a 42-inch Cub Cadet it doesn't back up without jackknifing but besides that it's fine.

I don't have a leaf problem , but the pine needles are inches thick on our front lawn in the winter. This machine worked great on pine needles . I had to empty it about 25 - 30 times but , it only took me about 3 hours to clear 2 acres of needles .

Despite some of the reviews reporting that this was difficult to assemble, it took me only ~30 minutes. The large hopper is quite nice, and the ability to unload without having to get-off the mower is great. You do have to tow it at a moderate speed, and I would say that there is some trial and error as to getting the depth of the brushes correct (some of the other models had a gauge to go by; however, with this one, did not .. Rule is: if it ain't pickin' up leaves/grass, move it down another notch). Final design improvement opportunity: provide the ability to turn the brushes on-or-off .. Currently, if you're moving forward, you're sweeping - so moving it from one location to another can be a "pain". Good product overall - glad I bought it ..

Great for the money - only thing I wish it could do a little better was acorns, mostly due to the bumper crop this year. I would say it picks up 95% of leaf waste 90% of pine needles 95% pine cones 45% acorns. and 30% of thatch (added benefit) Holds plenty of waste - more than I can reasonable fold over to dump.

I looked at smaller sweepers, but chose this one for it's wide sweep. I have an acre of land and tons of leaves to clean up. I had some difficulty with part of the assembly, but worked through it. This sweeper is well made and should last a long time. Too late for a photo, my sweeper is put away for the winter.
