Product Overview

AllergyZone furnace and air conditioning filters are designed and recommended by leading allergy and asthma physicians for superior performance and symptom relief. They capture up to 95% of airborne particles and minimize exposure to smaller contaminants that may trigger allergy and asthma symptoms, while allowing excellent air flow throughout the life of the filter. A Children’s Hospital Healthy Home study supported in part by The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) showed a decrease in asthma related symptoms (wheezing and cough) when HVAC systems were serviced with an AllergyZone filter. AllergyZone filters are constructed using only premium grade components, including a 2-piece double wall frame for durability in the air stream and a unique filter media that will not support microbial growth.

  • Only filter proven effective in a clinical trial
  • Pleated filter media is 500% more effective than ordinary fiberglass filters
  • Turns your HVAC system into a whole house air cleaner for just pennies a day
  • Lasts up to 90 days between filter changes
  • Professional grade construction for superior performance and durability
  • Dual-layer electrostatic filtration media improves small particle capture
  • Filter thickness is an 1/8 in. greater than other brands which reduces leakage of dirty around the filter and the holding frame

Answer:
No, it does not matter. The filter will fit a 24 x 20 or a 20 x 24 holder.

Answer:
Yes, you should be able to rotate your filter with no problem. As long as you have the edges supported and the lattice is facing the blower, you should have no problems.

Answer:
HVAC systems are expensive to replace and/or repair. I personally would buy filters that are the exact size the unit requires.

16 in. x 20 in. x 1 in. FPR 10 Air Filter for Allergy Sufferers (4-Pack) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 188.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allergy Free, So Far! I bought these to test out my wife's allergies. I didn't tell her that I swapped them for our old cheap filters. We have been running them for about 10 days now and she has not complained about allergies. She used to take over the counter medicine to calm her running nose, but this past week she hasn't had to take as much as before. I don't know if this is a true test, but for us I believe these filters help out! Very high quality filters and we will be using these during the allergy season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to work as advertised The wife suffers from allergies and this seemed to help her nightly breathing. Previous filter by Honeywell was rated at a "7" and this one is rated at a "12" . I am note sure the two rating systems are equal or have a standard. Size was correct and packed well. They recommend a 90 change between filters and I usually change at 30 days. Would I buy it again, YES!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Allergy Rated Pack for year long filtering This is a four filter package designed to last the entire year providing a change of filter every three months. Allergy Zone filters are listed as being designed for allergy suffers, with highly rated filtering material that claims to convert your heating and air conditioning system into a whole house air cleaner. Each filter is rated a 12 on the filter quality triangle scale, indicating a maximum score of 4 in three categories, holding capacity, air flow, and filter quality. Each filter has dense looking yellow filter material, which should produce a good contrast between clean and dirty. After a month, the filter has done a good job of removing dirt, and while it is showing signs of discoloring as its doing its job, it should last anther two months before changing. Filter is well made with a fairly rigid cardboard frame. Installation was easy, filter kept its shape as it was installed in the opening. Filter provided good air flow through-out our home, and based on little dust accumulating on our furniture, it was highly effective in cleaning the air. Overall, an economical multipack of high quality filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The right answer for asthma or allergy prone persons While many filter manufacturers focus only on removing particles from the air processed by a heating or cooling system the Allergy Zone filter is engineered to not only remove allergy producing particles but continue to allow the free passage of air to the system. It will keep doing this for up to three months. These filters will hold up to 60 percent more particulate than other leading brands and are recommended by leading allergy and asthma doctors for symptom relief. The filters will remove pet dander, mold spores and pollen grains-the main culprits for allergy and asthma sufferers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Filters These AllergyZone furnace and air conditioning filters live up tho my expectations for a great filter. I use them exclusively for our allergy prone family. We have 3 furnaces and central air in or two homes. They don't seem to ever clog like other and the air flows freely prolonging the life of the furnace. Four of us suffer from year round allergies. Allergy Zone has done our family a great service in their construction and hold up to their reputation as the best. Instead of changing the filters monthly I can go 3 months before changing. Price wise it is a better deal than cheap filters. They are a bit thicker than other keeping me from taping over the slot where they are fitted. I highly recommend them,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great dust collector Just replaced the old standard air filter with the FPR Air Filter for Allergy Suffers filter last week after they arrived; it has already collected dust as visible on the filter surface. My wife has allergies and with the air from the heat pump circulating quite a bit during the latest cold spell has been doing quite a bit of sneezing and having headaches. After using the new filter for a week she states that the sneezing and headaches are less severe. The outside framing is much stronger than the standard filters also and seem to make a more secure fit in the filter opening.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Air improvement filter I installed two of these FPR 10 air filters about two weeks ago during the holidays when there was alot of visitor traffic in our house. These filters seem to collect more dust and dander particles and there is less dust on the furniture. We have 2 adults in the house who have frequent allergy bouts but seem to be doing better, even with this warm and humid weather in Houston. I dont have a scientific method of evaluating these filters but they seem to improve the filtration and air quality for our purpose, they are well built and are installed just like any other filter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOODBYE DUST Ok so, I have a central AC and a forced hot air system in my house, so I need to replace the systems filters year around. Installation couldn't have been easier, slides in easy and fits like a glove. With other filters always noticed dust bunnies all around the wood floor. Now haven't noticed any 3 weeks in. The family has also noticed allot less sneezing during the peak times the system is running which is basically all the time now that the winter is here. Would definitely recommend these for those with severe allergies. Only downer in my opinion is the steep price.
