Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer Seems to work as advertised
The wife suffers from allergies and this seemed to help her nightly breathing. Previous filter by Honeywell was rated at a "7" and this one is rated at a "12" . I am note sure the two rating systems are equal or have a standard. Size was correct and packed well. They recommend a 90 change between filters and I usually change at 30 days. Would I buy it again, YES!

These filters work great and are an incredible value. I've had one in our system for two weeks now and I've been sleeping better, and having fewer allergy symptoms since installing it. I don't know that it will keep this up for 3 months, but anything that helps ease my allergies is good.
I don't know if these really do filter out everything the packaging says they do, but they've been doing a great job so far. At the same price as a level 10 filter or even less these are a great deal.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ToolTimeTony High Quality Allergy Rated Pack for year long filtering
This is a four filter package designed to last the entire year providing a change of filter every three months. Allergy Zone filters are listed as being designed for allergy suffers, with highly rated filtering material that claims to convert your heating and air conditioning system into a whole house air cleaner. Each filter is rated a 12 on the filter quality triangle scale, indicating a maximum score of 4 in three categories, holding capacity, air flow, and filter quality. Each filter has dense looking yellow filter material, which should produce a good contrast between clean and dirty. After a month, the filter has done a good job of removing dirt, and while it is showing signs of discoloring as its doing its job, it should last anther two months before changing. Filter is well made with a fairly rigid cardboard frame. Installation was easy, filter kept its shape as it was installed in the opening. Filter provided good air flow through-out our home, and based on little dust accumulating on our furniture, it was highly effective in cleaning the air. Overall, an economical multipack of high quality filters.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brian good filter for the money
Figuring out which is the best rated but still affordable air filter for the HVAC system in your home can be a challenge-especially if the air quality is especially poor or there are people in the home with allergies or sensitivities, etc. Home Depot uses their own rating system. "The Home Depot's Air Filter Performance Rating (FPR) System aims to make it even easier to compare brands by presenting a ranking system in an easy-to-read chart/rating based upon the filters' 1) ability to capture large particles, 2) ability to capture small particles, 3) and weight gain (filter lifetime)." This is what the term "Filter Quality Triangle" rating system refers to and "the FPR rating system is designed for the sake of simplicity. The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) designed a rating system known as Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV). MERV ratings run from 1-20, designating the effectiveness of filers to capture smaller and smaller minimum particle sizes. The higher the MERV rating, the better, and this rating system is the best for determining filter efficiency."
These HD Allergy Sufferer filters have a FPR rating of 10 and a MERV rating of 11 and a Filter Quality Triangle rating of 12 according to the specs on the HD website. For the money this is a very good filter. "As Chris Gardner over at BobVila.com points out, buyers should skip over the most affordable and common fiberglass spun filters, with a paltry MERV rating of 2-3. For just a few dollars more, disposable pleated models bump up the MERV rating to 6, while disposable electrostatic cotton or paper fiber filters rate at 10 and are probably the best option for those balancing budget vs. performance. Those with deep pockets and bad allergies can invest in a deep hi-efficiency pleated filter with a 14-16 MERV rating matched with a $100 price tag."
I hope you find this information helpful.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BrooklynDiva55 Does what it says
I love a product thay says what it does and then does it. Immediately it's picking up dust, air pollutents (stuff) and sucking it right into this Filter. In a matter of minutes you got your monies worth. For me, it's helps prevent my allergies from flairing up. These Filters are a keeper and a must have. Having 3 darling cats and wooden floors are a challenge - these filters meet that challenge -a b s o l u t e l y.

I was afraid that these filters would hinder air flow but was pleasantly surprised they do not. They have a very high air flow even though they filter up to 95 percent of most allergens. The package says it has up to 60 percent better air flow than some other filters and I believe it. Seems to be better flow than my old filters. Such an easy fix to help stop the sneezing in the family. Has a filter quality rating of 12 which is better than old filter with more air flow. NICE,

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BuckyGirl What a difference in air quality
My roommate is allergic to cats so I got these to see if it helps her because I have a fluffy cat. I did notice a difference after two days, the air is so much cleaner. The filters are ready to use, perfect size. I compared to my old filter and they are the same. I've had the filter for a month and my roommate says she noticed the difference. The air that blows out of the vents is cleaner and since we still have the heat on we needed a good filter.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by drdave These were the FPR 9 Air Filters
We have 2 dogs and lots of dander floating in the air. Add to that 3 kids with tons of stuff, and the air can get pretty dusty. These filters work like a charm to keep the dust and dander from recirculating. I have used these filters for years, and they work spot on all of the time. The problem that I have, is that they work so well, they clog up way too fast.
