I am looking at running 60 linear feet of fencing starting with 2 wood corner post (4X4) across the back of my propert to allow views of the green space. I figure #10 6'panels and would like to put a 4 foot gate in the center. I am calculating my supply list and need
1. #6 flanges for mounting the end panels to the (4X4# posts
2. #10 4.5'X6' panels
3. #8 82" line posts
4. #2 82" End/Gate post # Do I need 2 or 4#?
5. How easy is it to cut the sections down to size? I will need 2, 4' sections on either side of my gate and will need to cute the panels to accomdate the gate.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in our products. A gate post has holes punched on one side for a fence panel to attach to it. If you are not attaching fence to a gate post, you can use a blank post which has no holes in it under part #203559163.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking Aluminum Fence, I purchased 8 fence posts, 2 came without the cap, I hope Home Depot will replace those missing caps, beside that, everything perfect June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Fence My wife and I set the fence posts with no problems and found it easy to put up. I didn't have any issues with alignment as other reviews have mentioned. The product was light weight, yet durable and the finish holds up well after just 2 months in the sun and rain.. June 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hole spacing isn't accurate and required new holes and custom fitting. Holes are not spaced properly. They don't match to the spacing on the identical size/ type of gate. We had to cut new holes and place a plug, which we cut from a ballister, in the horizontal section underneath then slide that into the new hole and screw it down. Why on earth would they allow a post to go out that isn't configured to match the gate...?!?! Cost me an extra couple hours of hired help to handle it. June 11, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FENCE POST My niece ran into my beautiful fence and dented one of the post so I bought this to replace the dented one. Of course, the original was set in concrete and it took me days to get it out. I replaced the old with the new and viola, just like new. This item was as described and the quality and price were right. January 9, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This product does not fit together. Not vary happy. The holes in the posts did not match the fence pannel. Would have sent it back but had allready set the posts. Was able to make it work but happy! October 31, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fence post I found the ipost to be exactly what was advertised and what I needed. Very sturdy once anchored in concrete. I ended up using 14 line posts and 8 fence posts and all were flawless. August 3, 2009
