A:  Why is this online and "out of stock"? Help me understand why I received an email that this vinyl plank is in stock, but shows out of stock when I try to order? I responded to the email and was told I can order same color in "life proof", I looked and the price is $2.99? Just say not available at the advertised price!

      by|May 4, 2023

A:  I do see Life Proof available, but not at the same price.

          Answer This Question

A:  It wasn't difficult to install . I did purchase the driving block to set the seams, no damage and is almost required, as it is profiled plastic. About $10 online HDepot. The seams are very tight hard to see, if gapped, it's not laid properly. I had my wife helping, she would gather the planks from various boxes mixing them. She would lay out 2 narrow and 1 wide plank ahead of me so I would need to keep the pattern going, and make start and end cuts staggering seam joints. I would lay 2 narrow, 1wide plank as my pattern, (1 plank is wider than the other, but when layed together equal the 1 wide plank width). I didn't have a Z - bar when I got to the end course, so I used a wrecking bar to pry the last course together. I used a wide putty knife against the Drywall to pry against. I removed the baseboards.before putting in the floor. No trim molding used after baseboards reinstalled. Hope this helps.

Q:Can we use this flooring for bathrooms? I know it is waterproof but wanted to make sure.

A:  Thank you for your question. Yes, this flooring can be used in a bathroom.

          by|May 4, 2023

A:  I installed it in a basement over concrete. But I would, in my opinion, install in a bathroom. It's a nice product but I would avoid prolonged puddled water (kids got to love them). The seams are tight, using the $10 driving block H Depot online, so it shouldn't be a problem with reasonable care.

It was easy to lay down. We installed a sound barrier under the flooring to bring it up to the same level as the hard wood flooring. It is invincible, it with stands my (2) large dogs paws. It looks amazing in my new remodeled kitchen.

Diy friendly. Strongly suggest buying the 10$ tapping block Home Depot. Com as the store didn't carry it or samples of flooring. Used a double head plastic hammer with the tapping block and used it on the the drop in end joints to seat the vinyl without damage. Planks can be cut. By scoring with a utility knife and straight edge, then snapping it over a Stout 90 degree edge (clean little mess). I cut it with my table saw with carbide blade using a home made cross cut sled, quicker but messy(shop vac got a workout) if the seams don't nearly disappear then there something out of square or not aligned. I had to figure out how to get the seams seated on the last course against the wall, I used a wrecking bar inserted into the 1/4" gap at the wall and pried it together sometimes while tapping the vinyl along the seam. Worked OK, but missed the Z-bar from years back, that I used with the fake wood laminate to hammer and pull the seams together along edges. I installed nearly 26 boxes of flooring bought 27boxes @10% overage. I had long open runs didn't scrap or mess up a lot. Go with the 10%. .My biggest complaint is once I had the ends locked in place, I needed to take some back up to reset and the locking system on the ends broke and made that piece useless not all the pieces broke but several did. My wife is happy with it. But we had scratches on the new floor from trying to be carefull moving heavy furniture. The texture and color hides alot. Hence 4stars 3.23.2017 completed floor. PS also removed the baseboard so didn't need to buy molding. Did refinish the baseboards while off.

              Great Product!
Bought this product to replace the laminate flooring in our kitchen. This flooring looks great and is very easy to install. I am confident that it is durable and waterproof as advertised.
