How do you strip this garbage off?

This question is from Single Step 24 oz. Satin Floor Cleaner and Polish

I looks like someone spilled orange hair dye on my brand new (black) floor and smeared it around. My bathroom contractor attempted to remove scuff marks with this "cleaner" in one central area. Also, he did not pre-clean the entire floor before using nor did he use the polish on the entire floor as suggested in the directions right on the bottle.

The bottle says use a vinyl stripper to remove excess. What Vinyl Stripper can I trust on my brand new floor??!!
If you have hands-on experience with this stuff, please make a suggestion other than "fire the contractor".
He's gone.
Thank you

If the polish has been misapplied, it can be easily stripped off with "New Beginnings" by Armstrong, on the flooring accessories shelves at Home Depot

This is the first time I've heard anyone have issues with Allure Single Step.
If it was a vinyl based floor, then this product should have worked....however, with your contractor no longer in the picture...let's get this off.

Once this is removed, and it is a vinyl based floor (you didn't specify what type it was), you can apply a new floor polish rated for it of your choice.

Answer:
Thank you for your question.Try using a quality vinyl floor cleaner and a scotch brite pad. If it is a surface scratch, use the green side of a scotch bright pad and the Allure Single Step and gently work into the affected areas. This will help hide the scratch, not remove it! If the scratch has penetrated the top layer, then the plank will have to be replaced.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good cleaner, allow time to apply/dry We have had the Allure flooring in Teak in our eating area which is also the main entrance to the house, for 7 years and it looks new again after using this product. We maintain the flooring by sweeping the dirt and occasional wet mopping with vinegar/water. It has stood up to winter salt/snow, 3 teenage boys and a dog. We were so happy with the performance of the flooring, we have installed it in our living room and kitchen. This product had only a very light smell, and did give the promised finish. I gave a four stars only because it takes so much time to dry before moving the furniture back and allowing traffic on the floor. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best product for me I have used this product since the installation of my Allure flooring and it has protected the finish and always looks clean and shining. I do not have to use it very often as it stands up well. I also do not find that it builds up as a wax would. April 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Item works perfectly with Allue flooring This product worked perfectly on an allure floor. I did not use a sponge mop because i was having a problem with product being applied too heavily in some areas. I used a sponge and apllied by hand, yes a little more work but apllication was perfect. Dried in 30 minutes and again looked great. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best product ever for my Allure flooring This is easy to apply to the flooring, dries quickly and even. No streaks or build up. Love it! March 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Useless Did not help to cover caster black marks. Floor was scrubbed multiple times with vinyl cleaners before using. March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Allure floor cleaner & polish Satin finish This is a floor wax. that works great on the laminate floors Allure it was designed for. It gives a nice sheen, that last quite a long time. I retouch them every 6 months. Good product. January 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Had to order it because they no longer carry the product I only recommend this product because I need it for the floor. But I would not recommend the flooring. It is Allure. Had I known I couldn't use a steamer on it and you really need the Allure dressing on the floor I would have gone with tile. December 22, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Try other products Bought to cover mild scratches on allure flooring. Did help make them less noticeable. As for polish or sealing purposes, little to no difference. December 29, 2015
