Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Evan Don't buy a 3/8 in. mixer because it's NOT 3/8 in.!!!!!
Can't believe I even have to waste my time writing this...you would think companies took specific measurements of their products so that they are accurate.
The 3/8 mixer is welded with great quality, especially for the price. I purchased a 3/8 clutch drill along with it as I need to mix large amounts of paint and clay. The mixer bit diameter is only about 1/2-1 mm off from 3/8 in., but because of this, it doesn't even fit into the drill head. I even filed down the end so it would fit easier, no luck. No customer should have to modify a tool, especially when it says the specs. right on this website. Very displeased, and both will be refunded tomorrow.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jessie Doesn't fit 3/8 chuck
I agree completely with everyone else - this DOES NOT fit a 3/8 drill - I have 2 drills and it doesn't fit either - returning it today.
If you are need of one of these I suggest you take it over to the tool section and see if it fits their 3/8 drills before you buy it.
It's a pain having to go back and return this type of item

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JustAnotherPainter Total piece of junk
I started to mix a 5 gallon bucket of paint and about two seconds later the little fins broke off. I brought it back to the store and got another one. This time it made it to the second bucket before breaking. Please save yourself the time and frustration with this piece of junk.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WilsonConstruction great mixer
Even though the other reviwes are negative I have nothing bad to say about this mixer. I have two and most recently used one to mix 70 bags of type S mortar with zero problems. In fact I like it better than other traditional paddles that are cheap and brittle (this one is steel) and it doesn't shave pieces of the bucket into the mix either.

This thing and its cousins all have 1/2 inch shanks which will not fit into most "harry homeowner" drills, so be advised. How is the shank diameter not in the specs for this tool? It doesn't even say on the packaging!

Have used this numerous times as well as other family members have used it. Works well each time and every time. No problems

You get what you pay for. The spot welds that connect the fins to the shaft are insufficient to say the least. The one I bought didn't even survive the trip home without breaking loose. I didn't bother taking it back to the store for another one just as poorly made. If you feel like welding it back up like I did, it'll work fine.

I tried it in both of my ⅜" chuck drills. It won't fit.
