I got a can of the 12 oz. Candy Blood Red paint and a can of white to redo my horseshoe stakes and shoes. I painted horseshoes that were a dark grey. After applying several coats, horseshoes looked good. A very dark red I am thinking because the color underneath. The horseshoe stakes I painted white and then applied the red paint to just the tops. This time red came out brighter, lighter. See pictures.

not happy at all for the price. sheep walmart cans spray better. these cans are old time sprayers not new and up dated with whats out there now. plus they build up and drip a lot. have to pay close attention or you ruin your project. but does look nice once you know all the flaws and are able to work around them.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brian Ok product...a bit pricy
It's an OK product but pretty expensive. It's expense almost matches its convenience however, I have trouble justifying the expense. It sprays just the same as any other spray can that you could pick-up for half the cost or just go buy a pint of paint and thin it and spray that for a more durable finish and have enough left over for more. Try it if you like, but I would keep this product as more of an expensive model builders paint...plus the spray can is not good for the environment.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gorman Love this candy
I bought some of this to go with my purchase of another ALSA product (ChromeFX Pump System) to see how their candies are. I am familiar with a few different companies candies, and was curious about ALSA's candy.
The stuff is amazing. They claim high pigment levels, and they are not kidding. The color is deep and rich, and easily controlled by number of coats applied. No streaking as in some others I could name. Nice even color.
As with ALL candies....the appearance is effected dramatically depending on what color base you shoot it over. I would recommend the chrome, or a good silver to get the truest representation of the color. Lighter colors, like whites, will give a very different look. You want sort of a "neutral" color under it since it is translucent. Putting it over other colors, will result in whatever colors those 2 make when mixed....
LOVE this candy.

I've never seen, much less used anything like this stuff before, it's outrageously good looking. That said, this may not be the best choice for those who are particularly frugal, nor for the impatient. This is a fairly translucent paint, and 1 or 2 coats will look pink, thin, and washed out. I used the recommended 6 light coats; the color is rich, brilliant, and saturated.

I used this on an already red matte finished metal ottoman, basically as a test subject, and it came out looking unique. Very similar to an auto finish. Price may be prohibitive.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CR1HotRod Color is off & price is too high.
Not happy with the color at all. The color is more of a pink than a blood red. Very misleading name. The price is way too high for the quality of the color.
